Good old school boozer. Only one handpump on, but well kept.

A friendly warm pub, services excellent Home-Made Food at affordable prices. Give it a try, there is nothing better in the area.

Great local and family pub, landlords have been there 25 yrs. outdoor area opposite park with playground. Very friendly, can go as a woman on own and have a drink with no hassle, great lunches, I love it.

Visited on 31-Aug 2010. Service friendly and bar quiet (suspect it get's busy on match days). Bombadier only Real Ale offering - but was in excellent form. I suspect this remains a quiet local except when Tottenham are playing at home.

As for the 'Penfold' lot that spat their dummy out because they couldnt get their own way, if you would like to come back next match day i would be more than happy to see your 'Faggot' of a son give it the biggen to my dad infront of me. Overall alot less problems since the so called 'spurs fans' were gotten rid of.

The landlord here is ignorant. He lets people hog the bar whilst watching the tv and not buying drinks whilst ignoring the paying customers. We used to spend a lot of money in here on a match day but no more. Loyalty to your paying customers is surely a pre requisite for any pub owner.

This pub ticks a lot of boxes - the bar staff are friendly, the owner is a good guy, and the food is cheap (as is the beer). But if you are NOT a Tottenham Hotspur fan, DO NOT go there after they have played. I took a friend from Spain there, and witnessed some pretty ugly scenes inside and outside the bar by some very aggressive Tottenham 'fans'.

i walked into this pub one saturday night after i had been to spurs, and there had karaoke in there, the bloke who was doing the karaoke was great best karaoke in north london he had many songs to choice from which i enjoyed, the people in the pub were also great very friendly and very bubblely and it was by chance i found this pub i was on my way to tottenham hale station when i spotted it i am going to bring my friend the next time but dont take what i say you have to judge it for yourself thank you the volunteer

Finding any pub in Tottenham selling Real Ale is an achievement and that is one of the plus points of the Volunteeror at least it would be had any of them been available when I called. Sadly the Winter Warmer clip was facing inwards and the other pump was devoid of any offerings at all so it was a choice of kegs or lager. Whilst the pub is fairly accommodating and functional, there really isnt very much to get over enthusiastic about, even if the beers had been on. This place is tucked away far enough to lose the crowds on match days and basically does all the things it needs to without being anything that is memorable. The carpeted interior is neat and tidy if rather dated with plain textured wallpaper and tongue and groove ceilings. There is an interesting collection of brewery mirrors, some lanterns and a few brass jugs hanging from the beam by the bar. A dot matrix advertised the upcoming karaoke evenings and a dart board is positioned on one side of the open bar. The best features are probably the etched windows but even they play second fiddle to the bright, tacky Budweiser signs. There are a few benches out the front if the language inside becomes a bit too much. All in all it is not really worth a major effort to go out of the way for but it is a bit of an oasis away from the busy High Road pubs and for that alone is worth knowing about.

Lovely little boozer.Very old school London. So out of the way, it gets over looked.Shame

Great little pub stuck at the back of a housing estate near Broad lane. Sells good old fashioned English grub inc Pie & Mash, roasts etc. Freindly staff and clientelle. Typical commercial beers on tap and bottle. If this pub was on the high road it would be realy popular, but because it's out of the way it's usualy quite. A gem in a sea of mediocracy..
