what an utter dump, the Guvnor is a miserable cripple and they have some dirty, filthy old rip behind the bar called Maxine who appears to be wiling to sleep with any of the regulars

Rough and ready East End pub with limited range of beers but lots of machines!

Drank here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn. Steady pub, with a great pint of Guiness as I recall, pleasant locals.

Opted for a pint of Guinness @ just �2.80 which I thought was impressive as it was Guinness and it was London!! Cute barmaid and friendly service, handy if u are staying in the Holiday Inn or the newly opened Travelodge nearby. Let's hope they do well from the Olympics extra trade this summer. 6/10

I used to drop in here on errant escapades across Stratford area at weekend afternoons some 10-12 years ago. It's not flash, in fact it was a bit grubby with standard beer and a barmaid that served you with full set of bazookers showing nicely. I watched a couple go from friendly pair to horrid haters one afternoon as he confessed to being out the night before with "Elaine" in the same bar. Princess was not impressed and took it upon herself to impress on her beau that the dirty, jagged edge of her cider pint glass might dance merrily across his throat if she found out there was more to it than just a few night before slurps. The bar maid didn't move and carried on exposing her top half. I left for a kebab.

Darts board, comfy seats and all round good atmosphere. However the toilets are a smidge grotty. Maybe best to aim for the one trap. Otherwise don't wear open toe sandals !!

Extremely quiet on a Saturday afternoon - not a bad pint, and barmaid was friendly.

Pub is doing well, friendly staff, good atmosphere, can play pool for 50p unlike some pubs that charge 70p or �1 to play. Would recommend visiting. Shame it is not fully in centre of stratford
