Exactly as I expected it to be on a Monday afternoon, ten or so old time Eastenders drinking in one’s and twos and putting the world to rights Friendly young barmaid who was totally at ease with the clientele who doubtless all knew Ron n Reg and my pint of Smiths was under £4 so I’ll be using The Albert again

The smell of disinfectant from the Gents was horrific. Didn't stay long.

My pally pal Bartholemew also loves it in there I might add!

Landmark of the Roman Road. Nice decent pub. Also does a fun karaoke!
|

went there yesterday (sunday) evening, was packed with people having a great time, karaoke with a great host called mouse, lots of enthusiastic people singing and dancing, great atmosphere, and will def be going back. Best sunday I have had in ages! landlord was very welcoming and bar staff friendly. why arent more pubs like this!!?

Busy Saturday afternoon, horse racing on several tvs. No real ale I could see so I had half a fosters and left.
|
great place, dave the new landlord is a legend, really turned the place around, great entertainment, and sunday karaoke is the best in london. Will def return to this great boozer.
|
A top boozer, the manager Dave has turned it round and now its one of the best pubs in the area... They have alot of entertainment, singers, kareoke and a monday blues club.
Free seafood and bar snacks on a sunday, its an top place to watch the football and all the staff are friendly.
Only complaint is the garden is a bit boring but you can't have it all!
9/10

Bowhammer is right. It has reopened. And it has been refurbished. Or it has at least been given the spring clean it needed as I could at least see through the glass when I walked past it last weekend.
|

|
The Albert closed it's doors for the last time on 04/11/08.
