To Let, as Hull City Centre slowly dies.

Never recovered from the refurb a few years ago, IMO, which destroyed a lot of the charm - serving hatch into the back room, for example. Still, does what it says on the tin. Handy if the Mrs. wants to spend an hour in 'Primani' nearby.

Decent pub last visited on a Saturday night and surprisingly it had around 4 people in. An average pint of Marstons.
The decor inside has been recently done and to a high standard.
Busy at lunch times. the food is good.
Well worth a visit

Really impressed by this pub. Had Sunday Carvery 5.90 and tasty. Really friendly staff , great Marstons Pedigree. Definately will visit again and Hull is blessed with many fine pubs.

Sitting awkwardly between the Princes Quay and Ferens Art gallery, this lovely old pub has been well preserved, especially externally. Inside its a bit of a cold and clinical look nowadays but has some great music, played as it should be. No food in the evenings. Staff seem good fun - its a great place to watch the crowds pour out of the City hall opposite, and if you've forgotten to order your drinks at the bar in the City hall (and you've no chance of getting served, the staff there are hopless) thats a great excuse to sample this pub - which is probably one of Hull City Centre's best
