No real ale - but looks a decent enough place.

No real ale, but the Bellhaven Black Stout keg was almost as good. A very pleasant atmosphere in the bar, with a good mix of locals and holiday-makers like us. Lots of people coming in just to eat. About 40 single malts on offer. Good food and very good acommodation. Lovely waterfront location and friendly staff.

Best beer I found on a recent visit to Scotland (OK that's not saying much). Nice friendly pub, ideal while awaiting the ferry, but seems the sort of place that would be fine to spend an evening in.

A pleasing welcome, interesting weaponry hangs around the stone walls lending the feel of a castle-like ambience. Staff are friendly, tho bar is a little small. 20 people pack out this small pub but the outdoor seating areas seats plenty and gives rise to a pleasent view of the sound. Very defintely worth a beer, even tho a little remote.

Lovely pub good food will be back

We stop at this pub each spring on our way to and from Iona. The hosts are wonderfully welcome, the patrons are a delight, and the bar stocks a good single malt selection. We've always eaten supper in the bar, and the food is excellent. There are three rooms upstairs. We've stayed in two of them, and found them both clean and comfortable. It's one of our homes away from home.
