Regardless of the recent comment that this pub is "not anti Catholic" that is plainly not true.
Complaints of customers being driven out due to being "Fenian bastards" are common.
Anyone passing this pub during the recent Orange walk would have been able to judge for themselves.

Well this pub is dear for beer and cider but the staff are fantastic so are the customers and the pub is not a anti Catholic pub it's a mixed pub all are welcome. ....

The karaoke night on Saturday was fantastic. The 2 girls behind the bar were friendly and my friends and I had a great night. There was a good atmosphere.

Three words to sum this pub, won't be back!!

If you fancy a pint in an anti-Catholic Orangeman's pub this is the place to be it seems.
Locals are now giving the place a miss and I'd advise any right minded person to avoid too... unless trouble is what you are looking for.

Forgot to mention another thing about this place, on the 2nd January there was a drunken soldier through from Edinburgh it appeared, plastered out of his face, who had also soiled his trousers but still got served! He even gave a performance of how NOT eat a sausage supper before being helped out to a taxi by another wee plump track suited top balding staggering chap with glasses. Won't be back.

Dearest pub in Bathgate with proprietor Mr Smillie and staff leaving a lot to be desired. Smillie by name but NOT by nature!
|
Unremarkable pub. No real ale.
