Decent boozer just round the corner from the hotel, the bar staff were happy enough to accommodate any requests I had for the various football that was on tv on Saturday lunchtime/Sunday evening.

found this pub near my hotel.a small bar but i thought one of the better bars in oban.

A small bar right enough but that's not a bad thing as the staff and locals are both very friendly.
Two real ales on. both in good nick. Worth a visit.

Found this to be a nice pub. Limited selection of real ales but were kept fine. Locals and staff were both friendly. Only negatives to me was it's rather small for 20 odd ppl to watch a Rangers game but certainly atomospheric for it, and smokers being in the doorway because thats where the ashtray is.

Sign outside advertising 6 real ales... inside only 2. Neither of which was in great condition, but it wasn't unfriendly as the previous poster said, just a bit ordinary.

First drink ever in Oban. Walks into the bar. Barman has his back to me. He is drying a collection of beer glasses. Stood there for ages politely waiting for him to finish his work. Eventually he turns and says "You have to ask, i`m not a f*****g mind reader pal`. I ask for a pint of magners. I say "thank you" and sit down to enjoy my drink.
An insipid and unappealing place. Rank. 0/10
