Well to the person who wrote the revue in 2006 Wetherspoons has gone on to be the large pub chain it is now and not dead! This one is ok nice beer garden and plenty of punters in with a reasonable set of guest ales. Didnt try the food so cant comment on it but prices were good Guest ales 1-99 and Carlberg 1-99. Good selection of beers, lagers and ciders

Has improved somewhat in the last 12 months.Much better service than before.Very cheap beer.never ate there but the food looks good.If you go on a friday evening also has the attraction of a very lovely barmaid.

To the post below, perchance are you working in this establishment for you sing it's praises to loudly. Having past it by this weekend, there were more people sitting outside haveing a fag then there were inside. What the manager did not mention was it was only his food profits were up beer and takings from the one armed are down!

Fantastic pub with great offers. This pub offers products from all over the world at an affordable price, my favorite is a Lithuanian lager called Svyturus at a fantastic 1.99 a bottle, how cheap!! The atmosphere is different to others because you can have a conversation with friends rather than music bursting your ear-drums and, the best of all, ITS NON-SMOKING!! AND for all you non-smoking critics out there, I asked the manager there and he told me, the profits are up from the same quarter last year, when it was still smoking!! The food is cheap, top tip* the best days to go are Tuesday and Thursdays with Steak and Curry nights respectively, and good quality. Get yourselves in there!!!!!

This pub has now gone completly non smoking, I will give it 6 months before it closes or they reverse the policy and have setaside an area only for smoking. Passed it on Sunday afternoon anticipating it to be packed as is the norm, three quarters empty, most people eating, so only in one drink and gone. The death of Weatherspoons????

Theres enough proper pubs in redcar without bothering with this jd weatherspoons chain.

This pub is a typical Weatherspoons creation,no atmosphere, soul or anything. The only reason it gets packed is the cheap drinks, and it's staggering distance from a night club (if thats what u call Aruba).

beer getting too dear must try to keep it low as possible ,to attract people ,start putting prices up and people will start to dwindle

The Plimsoll line in Redcar is a part of the chain of pubs by JD Wetherspoon. If ever visiting the town passing by the pub without a call in is unheard of, bubbly atmosphere on weekends in the bar area, whilst also quiet in the restaurant area. Good food 10 til 10 with breakfasts served from 10 til 12 monday to saturday. Does a mean sirloin steak and bbq ribs! All round good pub!!
