Was doing an open air concert in the park and dropped in for a pint, turned into several and had a really good chat to the barman (please forgive but cant bring his name to mind now) Looked a little dated from the outside and it was the same inside but got a warm welcome (seeing as im a Londoner) and the beer was good so thumbs up for me . . . .

I believe they fimed a scene from Star Wars in here, a bit roch for my liking i prefer sipping champagne in the Seaton Arms

Good bar, went in here after an all day session with my mate a few months ago, my mate fell down the stairs on our way in and i staggered up to bar and mumbled something incoherently and we still got served, brilliant!

I like this place. The long sweeping driveway, car park and green area / play park outside give it the feel of a country pub when actually it's very central. Inside the interior is very comfortable and welcoming, fireplaces, tartan cushions, dark wood etc. Usually Directors and 80- shilling(I think) on offer, both pleasant. A nice Friday evening pub to kick off proceedings, particularly as they often come around with free fish and chips.
