This is the rudest venue in London. We contacted them about holding our wedding reception (as they advertise they do) and they couldn't have been less helpful.
They also won't let you have a table for dinner for less than six people - and they wonder why they are struggling. If you want polite, helpful service - avoid at all costs!

I must have gone on a bad day! We were the only people in there and it still took ages to get served. It isn't full of lovely comfy sofas as the previous reviews would have you believe, there are only 3!

Nice. Mar of a bar/restaurant than a pub. Agree with the comments about the sofas. They must put glue on the seats, because once you sit down it's damned nigh impossible to get up again.

Thanks to Dave for suggesting this bar / diner / restaurant, which is surprisingly understated and unpretentious.
As the name suggests, it was apparently where bananas used to be stored prior to sale at the adjacent Borough Market.
The deco is great, you're greeted by lurid, vibrant colours on the way in, and there's a laid back jazz/salsa feel once you reach the basement - a good atmosphere, even when empty. Food is on the expensive side (6+ lunch, 12+ mains).
Dave's dead right though, you don't want to go back to work once your arse is parked firmly on a leather sofa and the stunning bar staff are running pints of Guinness over to you.
A fine eurobar.
