dry_riser_inlet, you have posted your review on the wrong page as the Clockhouse is no more.
Your review and rating should be on the Craft Beer Co page.
Agree that BITE don't help matters by not marking the Clockhouse as closed, or by locating the Craft Beer Co in the City of London [which it isn't]

Sort this page out please. This is one of the best beer places in london. I would give it 10 if it were not for the high prices but they would not stop me going back. Premier league beer house alongside the cask in pimlico, and the sheffield tap. But 4 quid a half is just that little bit too much, even for the amazing beers they have on.

Yes this used to be a Greene King pub called The Clockhouse but now it is a real ale paradise with shedloads of beers available. On my visit they had brews from Dark Star; Magic Rock and Durham - I supped a couple and they were very good. The bar is not that big but soon filled up with a good crowd - mainly business people after work and there was a very good atmosphere and the bar staff were good with those customers who needed help chosing an ale. There is a room upstairs but you have to come down to get a drink. Excellent change from the previous beer range and well worth a visit - there are I think four tube stations nearby. Note the impressive mirrored ceiling. A welcome addition to the real ale scene in this part of town (try also The Argyle and the Nicholson's pub in the same area).

This pub no longer exists as the Clock House so any reviews should now be made on the Craft Beer Co page.

Went in this Saturday - the place is *awesome*, at least 14 handpumps and as many fonts (quite honestly, I lost count!) The main handpump beer is Fynes, which I have never heard of; in fact, I've never heard of any of the beers on sale there, but there is no sign of the usual old GK, Bombardier, Doombar, etc, etc. There is also no food served, so no problem with the bar staff being distracted from serving beer! Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable staff (and management) and it will be interesting to see how it pans-out when the Clerkenwell Hipsters discover it. I shall certainly return.

Closed and reincarnated as the Craft Beer Co.
If you like real ale you'll love the new pub

Not sure why the landlord has left, but the pub seems to have been sold to the people behind The Cask near Pimlico. They're opening a similar establishment next month called The Craft Beer Co. to replace The Clockhouse.

is this pub up for sale?why is the present landlord leaving

I think you have the wrong pub ??

They have 'mature male' strippers on Saturday lunchtime. As recommended in the Times Literary Review.

Great pub to chill out in and have a few beers. Exceptional service, even when busy and a very mixed crowd.

might try again one day but not to soon !!!

I was in there on a Friday night and the place was 'hopping' with a great atmosphere. The barman was busy but not too busy to suggest some inovations to my 'bloody mary' - made all the difference!

Situated on Leather Lane this pub is probably very different at a weekend from during the week. My experience is only on Saturdays when it is a quiet ordinary backstreet London pub mainly frequented by locals. I've always been in as part of a group after a meeting and although the custom is friendly it isn't exactly a pub that welcomes you with open arms. Despite that a pleasant quiet pub worth going in if you are in the area and aren't looking for any atmosphere.
