The Marlborough was my pool teams pub and Mick the Gov'nor was part of the team. But sadly last March it closed down as the owner sold it to - yeah, you guessed it another blasted Tesco's. However, there was a silver lining because Mick took over the Bell & Gate not far away near Collier Row and is a far better pub.

Shutdown a couple of months ago I think Tesco have got it.

Had a really good band down the Malborough on Sat, also the pub had a lick of paint and looks a lot brighter. For a fun night out watch the Notice Board to see whats going on.

What a brilliiant pub I love it in there. Jodie Stone is the best ever host. The customers in the pub are so friendly and the staff are great

What a great night last saturday - Jodie Stone has got to be one of the best female karaoke hosts around - Has anyone got her number would like to see her perform again!! Pub bit grubby but made up by atmosphere nice genuine people here and some good singers.

This is unfortunately the worst pub I have been to in quite some time.
There are 2 pool tables and 4 tables (with hardly any chairs). It has not been updated in quite some time.
The pub has good potention, I think it is quite well placed and the internal decor could be updated and turned into a really good pub.
The atmosphere when I arrived was sub zero, I had a pint of fosters (because there was no good beer available) and it was terrible, it hardly tasted of lager any more and the glass was so old you could hardly see the liquid clearly.
I am shocked that there are still pubs like this out there.

Not been here for a while under new management now ( Mick). The pub could do with a lick of paint but I had a good Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago. There was a singer Ruby Stone very entertaining and sociable. Will give Mick a ring to see when she is singing again.

Good pub was a local here for years before moving to dagenham. Great landlady, Sue and staff. The odd fight now and then gernerally on the weekend but its good local with a regular crowd.
