This is yet another pub in the area I've never been in before. Pretty busy at 7.30pm on a Friday with music playing & the various tvs showing Horse racing and sky sports news.
Large u shaped wooden bar dominates as you enter with a larger area to the rear on the right hand side.
Only 1 ale on which was Courage Best, it was drinkable that’s all I can really report.
The majority of the clientele here seemed to know each other and mainly consisted of blokes in the 40’s drinking lager. Not an unfriendly place but it wasn’t for me and after finishing our pints we headed to the Brickie’s to watch the football.

This pub is the best pub in the area without a doubt, the beer is first class dare i say outstanding its clean and tidy does a bit of food .The cheapest around.Beer until 5pm �2.40 a pint �2.80 evenings and weekends ,2 large screens and a bit of entertainment odd weekends.The guy that runs it should be commended , puts all the other pubs in the area to shame.well worth a visit .Well done keep up the good work

Currently called "Foxes" - it will either revert to it's old name or close within a year!!

under new management.still the cheapest larger around 1.80 a pint before 5pm after that 2.20 still excellent value for money,only problem is they have changed the manager but not the old glasses .come on guys anyone listening?

Closed for refurbishment as of July 2007. Who knows what the future holds?

This is a top pub.�1.40 a pint mweekdays until 5.00,big screen tv great for footie and great staff

Who wrote the above - the landlady. Bitter needs to be sieved before its drinkable - all else OK.

This pub is possibly the best pub south of the river.It has the nicest locals,excellent Guiness,a superb atmosphere,big screen for football,the lot.And never any hint of trouble.You would be hard pressed to find a better local.
