The Ship enjoys a lovely location next to the River Yare, which is clearly popular with boaters on the Norfolk Broads. The garden overlooks the river and the railway swing bridge, which is interesting to watch open and close. The interior is nice too, with a small games room and a larger bar. Ales were Steam Box Golden Bolt, Wolf Edith Cavell & Adnams Bitter & Broadside.

Improved no end since my last visit, maybe its the Summer season. Now does a selection of beers from the villages Humpty Dumpty Brewery (on Church Road open during the day and as I discovered now has a shop), busy with boaters and food, nice garden by the river to view the boats and trains from.

Great location especially to sit in the garden on as sunny day and watch the boats go by. Went in on a Tuesday evening a the place was busy which is a good sign. Great food and friendly welcome. Beers available include Adnams - Broadside, Greene King - IPA Gold. All served well.

The best of the 2 pubs on the riverside, clean and tidy, beers in good order, garden has a great view of the Victorian engineering masterpiece that is the Reedham Railway Swing bridge too. Nice riverside garden. Didn't try the food, looked ok from the menu.

Nipped in as a bit of a break from the Festival down the road and was immediately taken with how quiet and respectable it is trying to be, I thought that it was a hotel, where you get the deathly hush, it felt that way, as though you have to whisper your beer order. The beer I had, a Sharps Honey Spice Ale was decent enough, the rest of the pulls seem to be devoted to Adnams, the Wife's Broadside was borderline. We adjourned to the very pleasant garden, watching the swing bridge, we can't build like that any more. A wonder through the rest of the pub revealed a fully laid up Restaurant area but no Diners, all very comfortable all very unused. A pretty place indeed, but pretty quiet too.

Perfect for sitting by the river on a hot day. Lovely garden, friendly staff, average food (tinned salmon in the 9 salmon and asparagus quiche). Wherry, Adnams and Nethergate's Village Idiot were well-kept.

Lovely place to spend a saturday late afternoon in the sun watching the bridge swing.

Nice spacious riverside pub. The interior was full of character but we sat in the beer garden which ran alongside the river with interesting views of the swing bridge - we enjoyed seeing this in action. Good beers- we had the broadside and wherry, both of which were in excellent condition. We also enjoyed the food which included a kids' menu. Definitely worth a detour to visit if you are in the area to visit Pettitts theme park as we were.

Nice pub, nice location not an exciting range of real ale but worth a visit if in the area
|
Very food oriented with a decent menu but a sadly predictable range of ales (Adnams, Broadside, Wherry and London Pride) served teeth rattlingly cold. Nice garden with a splendid view of the swing bridge.

Nice looking pub to the far end of the village. Four hand pumps with Adnams Broadside & Bitter, Wherry and Titanic Anchor. Make sure you take a look at the amazing collection of miniature spirit bottles from the ceiling above the bar staff. The rear beer garden is the best of the 3 pubs in Reedham. It is a proper secluded beer garden facing the River Yare. Many trees, shrubs and roses in the garden with lots of seats. There is a nice view of Reedhams Swing Bridge which connects the railway track. We managed to see it in action whilst we were there.

Lovely village pub with a pleasant beer garden right on the river. Three ales on offer on my visit and what looked like good food. A footpath leads from the car park out across the broads to the Berney Arms (about 4 miles).

Great location for a pub - right by the river, and next to Reedham's swing railway bridge. Nice pub, friendly staff. However I do think they were milking their location (and their near exclusivity) by charging three pounds for a pint of Abbot.
I would have given this pub a 7, but given the very steep price of beer, I've knocked them down to a 6.

Fabulous location right on river Yare. Friendly staff,Adnams & Broadside on tap excellent food, great atmosphere.

What a great location for a pub. The pub is situated right next to the river and the swinging railway bridge. They have Adnams, Abbot and GK IPA if I remember correctly. I only had a shandy as I was driving but there were lots of people drinking the beer so I guess it was good. Nice front of building with lots of colourful flowers. Staff were ok. Outside seating is good especially good when you get to see that bridge move. Food was alright, nothing special though. Funny how a ploughmans can change significantly from place to place.
Not too bad a pub.
