With it approaching 11pm on my Saturday evening trip around a few Norwich pubs, my penultimate stop was the Woolpack Yard. The landlord was about to close up when I arrived, as the pub was empty. Nevertheless, he was happy to serve me and I enjoyed a half of Blimey! Brewing Company Thirteen and good conversation. I also managed to stay out of a brief, but heavy snowstorm. Other ales were Three Blind Mice Juice Rocket & Casual Philip & Lacon's Infinity. It's a shame this pub was empty.

Visited here on Saturday before the football at Carrow Road. Had an excellent pint of Elgoods and a pie. Thoroughly enjoyed. Worth a visit. Its quite a walk to the ground though so need to plan a few pubs for the route

Poor quality beer sent back to indifferent bar staff and paid 3.60 a pint for privilege

What a disapointment I've been waiting for this pub to re-open and wish it had not bothered the beer was so poor. I was not alone in my thinking as others left with half full glasses. Wife said the wine she had was not good. Its got potential but will need to change.

Used to love coming here. Always nice beer and, I don't know, but seemed a very peaceful location. Nice in the summer.

Glad to see this classic pub open again - but for how long? Nice pint of a local brew - wish it luck....

Visied this pub on a trip to Norwich today because it's the only pub in the current Good Beer Guide which I've never visited. Walked in to be greeted by a row of disused handpumps- only one real ale was on offer, Woodforde's Wherry, which was drinkable but not great. Coming from Suffolk I found nothing amiss with the pink exterior, but thought the interior was rather drab, the green seating looking moth-eaten, and the fireplace piled up with pretend logs. I was the only customer. Generally felt it was a pub which has seen better days.

CAMRA is about beer quality not always quantity
|
curious entry in 2008 camra guide as it only had 2 ales around spring. pleasant enough.

Ahhh - I did wonder why a pub so good on the inside looks so completely cack on the outside. It`s a complete joke that a building covered in pink shit and looking like an architectural acid trip could actually be on the grade two list.
