Odd Fellows, Dartfordback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I've been to this pub a few times now and my general impression is positive. It has a sparse, minimalist interior which won't be for everyone and the beer selection is aimed squarely at the lager drinkers out there (don't expect much in the way of real ales or bitters). That said, the staff are always friendly and efficient and the food is always of a good standard. The beer garden is a good size and the regulars seem friendly enough. A decent local pub and worth a visit if you're within walking distance.

i'm in this pub every sunday and i think the service is excellent especially the food service. i believe what ever they are paying the waitor in then it's not enough and they should give him a payrise

Trendy? Perhaps, yet The Odd fellows left a lot lacking for this reviewer. Don�t get me wrong, it is comfortable enough here and I was okay with the err, modern d�cor, but I just found it all, well� a little boring. The piped in music was decent enough and my time spent here certainly didn�t make for an unpleasant experience, yet I failed to see what would possibly draw me here again in the future. Maybe it is decent enough for a mid-week catch up with friends or a swift one during the day, but I fail to see who�d bother to visit this establishment on a weekend night, especially considering it�s a little off the beaten track and other modernized pubs for the youngsters are plentiful in the town centre. I�m sure this pub has a loyal clientele made up of the nearby residents, but I don�t think id bother to make the trip. All in all it�s fine in here, but I was disappointed all the same.

Actually this place is quite nice. Always planned on having a go at their curry nights but never quite made it. Beer is good though and, this must be a first for me the refurb is actually quite good!
Again, I concur with RogerB the Rose and Crown is better if you are more of a tradtional pub kind of person.

The main claim to fame for the Oddfellows is that is was an early drinking establishment for Mick Jagger who attended the Grammar School virtually opposite (and I am not implying that he drank here while still at school!). Quite frankly there is no reason to wander from the town centre to visit this pub other than being convenient for the nearby Mick Jagger Centre arts complex. It was totally refurbished about 18 months ago and what was once a decent straightforward local�s pub has now had the heart ripped out and been turned into a horrific tribute to the worst excesses of modern pub design with cube chairs and trendy lighting. The whole thing is a shocking contrast to what it was and the old regulars must have been shell-shocked when it reopened. I was. The only consolation is that you only have to walk 10 yards across the road to the Rose and Crown for something a bit more traditional. Mick probably would.

opened 7 months after an extensive refurbishment it offers a clean comfortable pleasant atmosphere , top class food and friendly staff.quiz nights,curry nights,singles nights,live music and clean toilets !
