Had a pint a few years ago in this dive - I thought it must have improved by now. Had a pint of Directors this afternoon - absolutely diabolical - whatever you do - don't drink in this pub.

Used to be a brilliant pub, good Bass and good steaks. Now a total disaster.

I think Merry Maid was bribed to say that.

I LOVE THIS PUB GREAT ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAYS NICE FRIENDLY PEOPLE

Agree with ColwynBoy, the Boat House is certainly better. Agree with Nutmeg - Toad Hall and the Rhos Fynach are better. The only thing the place has is its view of the sea, an eternity at the bottom of which would also be better.
DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

The Cayley Arms should be an excellent pub in an idyllic setting, but it is not. Eating & drinking there is not a good experience. The owners seem only interested in extracting money from customers and don't give a customer service.
The staff don't smile and one expects ones beer to be thrown at them rather than served. Nobody is helpful most of all the proprietors who will sit there idly while a single bar person will serve a queue of ten.
Very clique - y pub, with its quota of drunks which can be intimidating from opening to closing every day. fighting is frequent, if not inside, outside the pub. Police seem to be there regularly.
Dirty glasses, filthy toilets, short measures and non descript, unappetising food.
All in all, a nasty little establishment.
The Rhos Fynach and The Toad nearby are much more welcoming.

Great place to start the night off, or visit during the week for good food and a relaxing game of pool.

the bass has improved

This place looks good but is full of tossers & students. Good pool table though. Close for chipzers & curry. The Boat House round the corner is better.
