Such a nice feel to this place, I really loved the pub. The staff were so great, really friendly young women seem to have a good hold on what's going on. Have a range of good real ale on tap and did a really good pint of Guinness. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in Lower Heyford!

Have been here at least 3-4 times in the last couple of months and will keep returning!
The food might not be 5-star but it's very good. The staff is super helpful and friendly, they happily served us at 5 minutes to kitchen-close, something I find most pubs won't do (and lose my business, when the signage shows there is time left!). But here they are really making an effort and know how to treat customers.
We've also had several beers on tap as they change frequently enough to get a real choice. So far, all excellent!
Will return to The Bell often, now it's nearby, and will heartily recommend to friends.

great beer,good food.top pub.

Had a really good meal here at realistic prices. The beer was not as good as I would expect but maybe I was at the tail end of the barrels. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and go in again soon!

Village pub close to the Railway Station (5 mins) and the canal. Late on a Friday it is all locals and it gets a fair crowd of them. There are 3 Real Ales on, last night it was White Horse Dragon Hill, Purity UBU and a rebadged for the pub beer which I reckon was White Horse Bitter. There was a good conversational buzz in there, a couple of boaties probably and a few lads readying themselves for the World Cup, in fact the pub is gearing itself up to show all the football, much to the chagrin of some saddo Jock who seemed to be supporting anyone but the place that is currently supporting him. All in all a decent village local, something that should be preserved.

Had a family get together there after having a fab lunch with my wife previously. Unfortunatly the meal was a train wreck. Friendly waiting staff who i felt embaressed for. Love the venue. What a shame

Reasonable enough 'village local', though more what daytrippers are looking for from a village pub than actual locals. The badged Bell bitter was a nice enough pint (not sure where it comes from). Pleasant enough staff and locals and not far fromthe station.

Well worth seeking out and fully deserved GBG listed pub. Otter was absolutely superb (beer that is, not food). Very generous and value for money Fishermans Pie and the Black Forest Mountain (Wow!!). Staff very friendly.

Very pleasant pub. Friendly landlord and very much a locals venue. The food portions are little short of gigantic. We were four and there was enough for eight! Good quality though and reasonably priced. Very busy on Sat evening so book if you want to eat. The beer range was commendable - a local micro and also Butcombe Gold, in excellent condition. One interesting feature was the nursing mother breast feeding her infant in the bar at 10pm on a Saturday night. Oh well, it is a locals pub after all!

Excellent food, great portions, very friendly atmosphere. Can't comment on the beer as was driving during my visit.

An excellent local pub. Excellent food (huge portions all round), fabulous real ales & a real friendly cheery can-do attitude makes this pub a winner

This is an efficient and well-run pub. Good range of beers. We haven't tried the restaurant yet because the bar meals are very substantial. The garden is great in good weather -- with Aunt Sally on offer (you have to live locally to understand this recondite game). Children-friendly inside and outside, which isn't always the case in this part of the world. Very busy at weekends and even more so in summer because it is near the Oxford Canal, which has heavy tourist traffic.

Good beers, garden for kids, pub quiz on Sunday nights
