please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Got the groupon voucher for this, before I had read any of the reviews, and wish I had before paying for it, but thought it's only 24.00, and thought I would make my own mind up rather than believe what all the reviews said.
first rounds of drinks came quite quickly, and thought we were off to a good start, but thats where it ends,
although i will say the starters were good, but have had much better at cheaper prices, the house wine you get with the groupon voucher is dire, talk about drawing your cheeks in, if they sell this at 3.50 a glass, i dont know how they would manage to sell much of it, i left mine in the end,
out of the 4 meals ordered only one of us thought their meal was good, the oven baked haddock, one meal came out with garden peas, which i think came straight out of the freezer, they were that cold and hard, the burger at 10.95 was very salty, the roll was either stale, or because in my opinion it was not long out of the fridge or freezer, was very cold and hard, the coleslaw well the saver variety you would get from asda or tesco is deff a lot nicer, which i have tasted, the other meal had the same with its roll, also the chips were not quite cooked in the middle, bit cold and hard in the middle, at this price i expected better, have had a few in bar as a bar meal cheaper, and so much better.
we did say to them regarding this, but nothing was said or done,
i found the woman who asked us to leave our table, before we had paid for our extras, and as we were about to order desserts, i guess as someone wanted a window seat, as their was other empty tables, found this quite rude, needless to say we never went ahead and ordered our desserts, and if going by the rest of the meal, was maybe better saving our money,
i am glad it was a groupon voucher, as it was only 24.00 but i think i would have enjoyed a macdonalds much better, as i would have ate it all.
it was a trial for us, and one i wont repeat

Returned to the Two Bridges, South Queensferry - the meal was atrocious.
The steak pie was full of fat and the pastry was cold- the chips were reheats.
The fish was O.K. but the chips were reheats.

TRY THE DUDDINGSTONE ARMS, NEWTON - THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT .

Couldnt beleive when i returned to my home town after been away travelling for 6 months to see that this pub had been taken over by idiots, went in for a meal with a friend and the food was disgusting and cold, when i confronted the waitress called Laura she wasnt interested in anything i had to say wasnt even apologetic when i asked to speak to the manager she replied she was the manager, building was cold and tables were dirty. Didnt recognise any off the staff that i always new to be working there who were always friendly and helpfull, this place now looks better decor wise but thats about it,Always took clients and family here for meals and drinks but wont be back.Advice to the new owner get decent staff and chefs

MY WIFE AND I HAD A MEAL AT THE TWO BRIDGES, SOUTH QUEENSFERRY AND THE MEAL WAS EXCELLENT. WE HAD A 2 COURSE MEAL FOR TWO + A BOTTLE OF WINE FOR UNDER 20. THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT AND THE SERVICE WAS BRILLIANT.
WE WILL RETURN FOR THIS EXCELLENT SERVICE

Pathetic customer service, very poor attention to immediate needs. Tacky surroundings, sticky tables, tables with dirty dishes left on and frustratingly disinterested staff. Food takes forever to arrive, wrong drinks order as three staff attempted to deal with it. Advised longest wait for food would be 20 mins for steak. We waited 41 mins for a scampi and a steak pie! Fried food tasted of old cooking oil and left grease marks on the plate. No please, no thank you, no 'how was your meal', etc? Never visit again, would rather go to local McD's or F n B's.

Went for something to eat in this bar/restaurant today. There were 4 staff on duty that we could see and yet no one seemed to be doing anything except one person who may have been the manageress standing like a wax work dummy and someone who was just paceing about on the phone. We were shown to a table in the conservatory and handed 2 menus that were printed on white cardboard of which one of them was clearly printed as the ink was finishing.
After a life time we were finally asked if we would like drinks. to cut trhis short, if you like good customer service and nice food then go somewhere else.

Manager has a totally insignificant presence. Staffed by snotty teenagers who couldn't give a dam. Over-priced madiocre food and expensive drinks.Badly managed pub that would be a goldmine if it was privately owned. Until it is I certainly wont be back. Score ZERO cause I cant score any less.

The two bridges pub is under new ownership and frankly i am glad, because i have visited this restuarant before, and the owner was very rude and abusive. I visited it again when the new owners were in place, and i had a lovely time, with no abuse from any of the workers. It's large and quiet, i has a wide selection of food and a kids menu. A great view of the bridges and i only had a slight wait as it was a sunday lunch and was very busy.

Have been here numerous times in the past and always had a nice meal. Took overseas visitors for a treat this March and that it certainly was not!
Made a genuine complaint about my daughter's meal. A member of staff was verbally abusive to my young daughter who had not uttered a word and was greatly offended by how rude an adult could be, especially as she has always be raised to be respectful.
As I spoke to the manager the same member of staff then barged past us numerous times with even more abuse and even accussed of tampering with the food ourselves. That I have to say was the final straw especially as the conversation was going nowhere as it was the manager's wife giving the abuse.
Certainly not the "great Scottish hospitality" we expected our visitors to see.
Avoid like the plague unless you like to be treated disrespecfully!!!!!!!!!

Hotel bar overlooking the two Forth bridges. Large, clean and comfortable. The window seats give great views of the bridges. No casks, but a clean, well run place with a nice atmosphere.

Chrissie got very excited about this place and felt it deserved a perfect score. I wasn't quite there on that one, as it's just a comfy hotel lounge with a decent view - and it doesn't serve any decent beer!

Aimed very much at the family meal - passing tourist market. Does good bar food at good prices, standard S&N beers.
