Crown Hotel, Long Melfordback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Contary to the reviews below I found the beer selection pretty good and the Brentwood gold was a lovely pint. The lunchtime food was excellent value too. That said this is not somewhere I'd choose to drink in the evening as it looked a bit rough and ready!

That should have said "...the beers aren't inspiring..." Where's the damn edit key!
|
Agree the beers are inspiring but they were in good nick, the service was good and the prices reasonable. I liked it.

Nice. Some non GK beers, but a bit uninspired choices (landlord etc). Still much better than IPA IPA IPA IPA IPA...... Quite posh, good service.

Decent tidy and modern place, had some ales on, including some non-Greedy King choices, which were very welcome.
Lacked atmosphere a little, but for the joy of not having to drink GK, I'll let it off!

Really nice, quiet village pub. Only pub in the main part of Long Melford with a pool table, with Leather sofas and a large heated beer garden. Has a restaurant with very good affordable food and doubles as a hotel! Not bad.
