This pub offers a friendly atomsphere and a good selection of pub grub at reasonable prices, albeit not a gastro pub, it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. Beers were limited in choice though.

Been back to visit.Traditional pub with great food.Deals on the food was nice to see and the staff were helpful and polite. The day we went the quiz was on and it was fun to see the place fill up from 8.30 to 9pm when the quiz started. There was a friendly feel about the night and the music during the quiz was really good. The beer was a good selection and they even had a meat draw at 10pm. Will definately be back next time in area!

We had a really good meal in here as a group of around 12 people. Service was good and the food came quickly. Very good value, main courses were around 7-10, very generous portions. Particularly good pie, and the fajitas were good too. There is an excellent playground too.

Had lunch in there today as I enjoyed going to one of their sister pubs in Sway "Hare & Hounds". Found this pub to be not as good. Nice Pint of Ringwood Bitter and my party ate the Beer BAttered Cod which I was told was good, but I found my Ham Egg Chips & peas no be below expectations. Peas Hard, Chips only warm (Nice tasting) Eggs Cold and overcooked and the Hame was sparce and full of grissle. I would recommend you go to the Hare & Hounds where the Food, wecome and surroundins are much better. Will try the other sister pub next time I am in the area called "The Smugglers".

great food, nice place, clean, needs baby change ! friendly staff beer prices fairly high and would happily recommend and will return

The staff are friendly and food is good.Ales are presented well and it caters for dogs as well! Monday in the week gets busy as it has a quiz but the eclectic background music makes the night go quick. Overall the clientele varies and it has a friendly feel if some of the characters are 'weird'. Who is that guy with the headphones who loiters near the bar, talking to everyone and laughing to himself?

Lovely evening, charming pub, good food. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Will definatly go back.

We won't be going back! Staff miserable and unhelpful, everything seemed an effort and we seemed to be an inconvience to them. Food nice but the atmosphere was awful. Be prepared to be greated with a frown not a smile.

I have lived in the area for years but never been in the White Hart,I was pleasantly surprised! They have a good selection of real ales, had a great pint of fuggle de dum! The food did not let them down either,we had a lovely lunch and it was great that the children could play in the adventure playground. Really glad we popped in very enjoyable.

Had a great night in there with friends, really nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and attentive. We took advantage of there 'meal deal' offer which made our dinner very good value for money,I will be sure to return.

Not at all impressed, looks nice both inside and out. Food was reasonable though perhaps a little overpriced. Pub advertises childrens menu and play area. However not actually that child friendly. There were no baby change facilities, i was told I could change 14week old baby in the toilet, there was no room, two cubicles and two sinks, no spare surface except maybe the floor. Changed the baby in the car. service was not good girl was a bit dippy.

Hogs Back Tea very hazy and bits in bottom of glass. Certainly not worth the 1.60 for a half. Very friendly and pleasant surroundings but would have been happier having a pot of tea.

This is a great place to meet friends and family especially on a Monday night. I love quiz night with Ian Whooley. He's what makes the night! Each time I go I meet new people. I recommend it to anyone who owns a dog.

Been back again! The transformation is incredible! What was a run-down establishment is now chic and stylish yet retains all the charm of a traditional pub.The Monday we went it is quiet until 8.30pm when it really gets busy for it's quiz night. After 9pm you can't really get a table but the entertainment makes up for that disappointment. The clientele varies between people dressed as footballers and scotsmen wearing kilts!I kid you not!!The beer and food was above average and overall we enjoyed the night. We will be back soon and would recommend you give it a try......

Wel I never! Went in for the first time in ages - nice people, good beer and loads of eye candy. Gone are the villains from Saf Lunden and that stupid old bloke with the leather. Good local pub - I shall frequent even more now.

This pub has BIGALAN commented quite rightly has having changed hands-much to it's advantage.Gone are the rough element and no attract decent clientele. The whole place has been done up to a high spec with the traditional fell kept. The food is excellant and staff helpful. The place always seems to be busy now and is like a 'tardis'inside with lots of nooks and crannies.Nice atmosphere and well run pub.
|
Once again a good edge of town pub. Good food - even if microwaved! Great for a quiet beer with mates - always a seat.

now under new ownership, same people as hare and hounds sway. now a vast improvement and a nice greeting

This Pub has just been taken over since June of 2005.
It has been refurbished, and is serving quality home cooked food, and has a great restaurant menu. It is so good - you now have to be sure to book at weekend. It is great inside, and has a nice lounge area too - try it out now.

used this pub regulalrly for about 3 years, then the manager changed, South London mafia arrived (a 60 year old man with a pony tail - taste NOT). Place is a pit now, never sure when it's open or closed
