Now known as the Westbury and is quite pleasant, especially now that all the pool tables have gone from the front area.

Great if you fancy getting stabbed as you leave.

Great music night on Thursdays, with the Blues of Cain, playing a mix of 60s - 80s covers. CARA pub (Campaign AGAINST Real Ale).

Considered putting in an offer on this place myself actually,..but thought better of it,..it would be a fcking baptism of fire, thats for sure.
Just popped in for a game on the Fruity the other night and was surrounded by what seemed to be Tri-ads within about 5 mins.

It's a while since I've been here but it was well rough when I was last there (year or two ago) so it could have changed. Suggest you go and have a look if you already haven't. The Chippenham down in Maida Vale is a backpackers too and it's a right dump but because of its location should do better.

Anyone else have views on this pub as I was thinking of taking it on and turning the upstairs into a backpackers, but having second thoughts now!!! Really appreciate any feedback.... ASAP

A delightfull watering hole, offering high quality, reasonably priced food in the daytime, and a good party atmosphere on a night time, fantastic, friendly security, who always greet you with a smile, and a landlord who manages to mix a traditional Irish pub, with a modern day sense of fun, it is my favourite pub in London.

Red Lion used to be the unofficial Loot social club (the offices were next door). In those days it was great. Regular lock-ins, lots of good characters, run by the bar staff. Now it's been redeveloped it's lost its character and attracts the young troublemakers from the Kilburn estates. Dodgy.

Apparently they're looking for a new landlord so things may change. Wouldn't hold your breathe though.

An awful place full of hideous people. The pool table down the back is its only redeeming feature. The excuse for a disco they run on weekends is notable for the quality of scum it attracts.
Not sure if it still happens, but a mate of mine went about a year ago and it had strippers on, complete with a dancing performance with an alight candle hanging out of her *suggestive whistle*. Naturally, my mate was disgusted by this exploitation and left as soon as he finished his fourth pint.

Only been in there once and haven't been back because I had a feeling that I was going to get my head kicked in.
