Masons Arms, Gargraveback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Masons Arms seemed like quite a nice village pub. It's clearly a locals' pub. Whilst there was plenty of available seating, locals were intent on crowding around the bar area, making it very difficult to get served. After waiting 10 minutes to get served, the landlord finally appeared and asked bluntly if I was waiting. No, I'm standing here for the hell of it!! The whole feeling was that we were interrupting a clique. Ales were Thwaites Wainwright, Tetleys Cask, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Brains SA. No real cider was available. Food smelt lovely. But we didn't stay long, as the welcome was poor and the much better pubs of Skipton beckoned.

Traditional pub, three cask ales.

To my my mind the best of the several pubs in and around Gargrave but the hrdest to find - it's near to the railway station. Good cosy and clean well frquented local with Timothy Taylors Landlord & Tetley's on draught. Open fire during the winter.

This is a cracking locals pub.... serves a superb pint of Tetleys and the food is also half decent. However, this place comes to life on a weekend night when the locals drop in to have a few beers and a good chin wag... as with a lot of Dales places the tourists can be seeking something a little more in your face but take your time and this is a superb village pub !!

Decent pint of tetley cask. Classic pub menu. the food was fine but no one else eating on a saturday afternoon! Plenty of drinkers though. warm and friendly

Local village pub, tucked away on a back street. Quite traditional inside - lots of horse brasses and the like, with a nice open fire. A community feel to the place, and efficient service. Couple of Yorkshire ales on in good condition but rather pricey for the area. OK for a pint if you are in the area, but not one to seek out.

Very close to the station - 0.1 mile. Nice traditional village pub, very old, warm and welcoming. Decent beer, serves food, too.
