Football orientated pub with 4 Norwich Bear ales available
Great pub with olde worlde feel and inglenook fireplace. More modern conservatory bit out the back with pool table. 6 Norwich Bear beers on and the Legend and Pooh Bear were imbibed - both at £3.20/pint. Didn't think the beers tested my taste buds enough, wanted something that would fight back. Plenty of viewing screens to watch footy and stuff - managed to see Arsenal v Everton & a youth final between Norwich and Nottingham Forest.

Many positive attributes to this pub - well-appointed, staff friendly, loads of interesting beers including five from Norwich Bear. The position up from the station makes this the ideal first or last bar on a visit to the city. Well worth locating
Called in for a quick one before catching the train - ten minutes walk from the station.
A good selection of well-kept ales - 4 from Norwich Bear together with guests. Quiet in the early evening, but nevertheless a good feel about the place.

A great pub and a very warm welcome - especially on Saturday lunch when the landlady actually PEELED some REAL potatoes so that me and my mate could have some chips to accompany our bacon rolls.
The Norwich Bear beers on offer were superb and I we'll definintely be back next time in Norwich.

This was the last Norwich pub we visited, and by the time we got to the last two I had had to revert to soft drinks. I'll refrain from reviewing the Coach & Horses, as I don't remember too much about that one. The Ketts Tavern had 6 real ales - Wolf Golden Jackal, Woodfordes Wherry, Tipples Redhead, Nethergate Essex Border, Humpty Dumpty Porter and Brandon Waxie Dargle. There were no real ciders - just as well really. The interior is fairly open plan with a raised area leading to the toilets. It is fairly dark, but not unpleasantly so. It's also fairly convenient for the station for a quick one before catching the train. Although unfortunately for two of us, it wasn't convenient enough and we had to wait another hour for a train!
Good selection of ales though the Wherry was a bit too cold to actually taste. A reasonable enough place but a little too 'food & family' for my liking.

Excellent pub, visited after thrashing Norwich 7-1 on 8 August, great range of beers and friendly staff (and customers surprisingly!). Can't remember what beers we had but they were both superb.

When I lived in Norwich this pub was a bog standard Norwich Brewery house, how times change. Went in yesterday lunchtime (after our Rosary disappointment), what a fantastic pub, great atmosphere, fine selection of local real ales, and a booming trade in good honest lunchtime food, well recommended, try the Ketts bakery next door too.

the ketts tavern is a very nice pub and the staff are most obliging, they do 'extra's' round the back. definetly worth my visit and good value for money
extensive choice of about 8 good ales.
I came across this pub whilst doing the Woodfordes Ale trail. I was not expecting to see 9 different ales on the pumps in front of me as this is not in the current GBG. I found the staff friendly and even got a taster of one of the beers we had not ever tried. The barmaid helped with good directions to the next pub that only a local would have known. The beer we had was very good and we may return when we visit with our team (CUFC).
wide choice of ales but the pub could do with a good clean and staff could with been more friendly as for the beer festival you wouldnt actually notice the difference.
Nice outside drinking area and super beer festival last weekend. A 'must visit' when in the city. Lunchtime/Sunday menu looks to use local reared meat. Sounds like a good idea.
Friendly attentive staff and a unique selling point - at 6pm they come round with the menu for the local Ripa Tandoori takeaway, take your orders, collect the food, plate it up and present it to you with cutlery and all!
