Waterfall, Old Hillback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
It's been a long time since I gave a pub 10 but this one deserved it and more. Holden's, Batham's, Pardoe's, Enville and an incomparable Sarah Hughes Ruby. Any one of these is worth travelling for; in the same pub they're real ale Nirvana. It's a steep walk up the hill from the station but it's easier on the way back. This pub is unmissable.

This pub was the best of 6 we tried in the Blackheath area on Monday. The ale selection is very good. 8 were on - Bathams Bitter, Holdens Special, Golden Glow & Into The Dragon, Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild, Abbeydale Absolution, Enville Ginger & Thornbridge Jaiupur. Sadly, there were no real ciders. The place has a nice feel to it, with plenty of antiques and knick knacks around. The only annoying feature was the smell. I'm not sure what it was, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. Nevertheless, I would visit this pub again.

Pleasant two roomed traditional pub, very Black Country in character, ie. big on nostalgia with a tight knit community feel. Good choice of well kept ales and lively on a Sunday afternoon. Not especially friendly welcome from the bar staff and anyone new to the pub is advised to take along a pal or two on initial visits as solitary strangers are not particularly well absorbed into the atmosphere. Bit of a climb up a steep hill but worth it for the beer at least.

Excellent pub. Great range of local ales -Batham's, Pardoe's, Holden's, Sarah Hughes, plus some tempting looking food. Decorated with railway, sporting & WBA memorabilia. Only downsides - bit expensive for the area (2.95 for Batham's bitter) & on extremely steep hill (possibly the 'old' one)!

Used to use the Waterfall when it was a freehouse, I revisited in November, what a disappointment! The pub looks run down & in serious need of a refurb, & the beer was flat, tired & out of condition. A good range of beers, but thats pointless if theyre not served well. Holdens can do much better!

My favourite local pub because everyone is so friendly there. Good selection of beers with a great variety of guests. Haven't had the greatest sucess with food there but the bar nibbles on Sunday's makes up for that. A recommended good experience.

One of the best cask beer pubs around. It has a good selection of guest Ales and always stocks Bathams Bitter, which is my main reason for visiting. The pub was bought by Holdens Brewery, but they have continued to run it almost exactly as it was when it was a free house.
Friday and Saturday nights are always busy and car parking almost impossible on these occasions, although there is street parking.

A friendly pub, with great views from the garden. Good food at very reasonable prices, and an excellent range of real ales. The bar is said to be haunted.
