O'Reillys, Amsterdamback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Was back in this pub just after the smoking ban was introduced. It seemed to make a huge difference and considering my latest visit, was in the summer, it didnt seem as busy as my previous visit which was earlier in the year. Having said that, quality of the draught on offer was good, and I ate there on several occasions. The food was to a very good standard. And yes, the staff make this place. Very attentive and sociable. Tables and chairs ouside for the smokers or people watchers

A typically crap fake Irish pub with over-priced, unimaginative, mass-produced beer (Guinness and Kilkenny). Wouldn't it be nice if an Irish pub sold an Irish beer that didn't come from Guinness, Heineken or Scottish & Newcastle. There are small breweries in Ireland, why doesn't someone support them.
I suppose it's bearable for watching the football, if you can't find anywhere better. I almost forgot - their "pint" glasses look awfully like half litres to me.

Great, authentic, Irish pub. Great atmosphere. Careful when trying to navigate those stairs to the restroom after you've had a few pints, however.

On the plus side, The sports coverage is by Sky, on the negative side, Everything else. Its a standard paddy joint run by unemployable elsewhere, barstaff, who have no interest in serving you once they hear your non-Irish accent (Apart from 1 guy who was a workaholic non-stop maniac. If he wasn't serving, he was stocking up, cleaning, glass collecting etc.). Rating=2 if only for the drunk asleep in the corner, the night before, that no staff noticed until they were leaving at 4am. Great attention to details guys!

The pub has a wonderful ambiance due mainly to the people that work there. From nose to toes O'Reilly's is well managed & fun.

o'reilly's, is at 103-105 Paleistraat Amsterdam. Just off Dam Square. o'reilly's isn now 7 years old and has a great reputation for its quality food. Like its sister pubs in Brussels, Heidelberg and Frankfurt it takes pride in its detailed attention to providing the most extensive sports coverage in the city.
