Fuzzy Duck, Armscoteback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Finally returned here today after about a 10 year absence. Very much a dining pub (2 AA rosettes) but the North Cotswold Best was very good for £3.80 a pint. Mad Goose also still on sale. Couldn't fault our lunchtime visit.

Open again and now known as The Fuzzy Duck. From the website it looks as if it is very gastropub. Purity's Mad Goose and one other guest ale understood to be available.

Absolutely packed when we visited on a Saturday night, its off the beaten track a little but still close to Shipston and Stratford. The whole village must have been in the bar, with the rest of the surrounding villages in the restaurant.
Separate dining area and bar, as well as a function room for 20 at the back.
Food was superb, and service was friendly and welcoming, despite the packed dining room and a separate big party in the room at the back.
Serves a good pint of Hook Norton Best, but the house champagne has erased the other choices from my memory.
Quirky but fine menu, with a reasonable choice for carnivores, veggies and fish-lovers. Save some space for the Chocolate and Pistachio mousse! 9/10 overall, well worth a detour to find.

Best food in the area IMO. Was impressed as below with the service and thought the diverse menu offered very good value for money
