Re-opened after closing in June, new owners have put a lot of effort into sprucing the place up and trying to get rid of its old image. At the end of the day its still the moon. Couple of Greene King ales on but mainly lager, food at decent prices but there is cheaper in Hucknall. DJ on Friday and Saturday nights too. Its good to see it open again imo.

I think Brad Pitt filmed "Fight Club" in here. I could be mistaken but it might be as a result of seeing that nice CCTV footage of the machete-wielding folk spilling out of the place!

It's been 'Greenalled' what more can I say? No character, serves beer, that's it. Even the Laughing Undertaker can't spruce this place up.
And no, I'm not an old codger!

I hate this pub, the doorman make u que on a friday for no reson what so ever, u can see in the window that its empty, when it was run by local doorman about 4 years ago there was no queing, and no trouble, people could stand and sit outside when the weather was nice, but now if u do go outside when the doorman are there u cant get back in! they used to have the same power trip at the Byron (romans)and make people stand across the other side of the street, but its beeen proven since they left that there is no need for it, and while all the doorman are outside, who is looking after the drinkers inside i wonder?

Used to be a very cosmopolitan mixture of spit and sawdust bar with posh "rotary club" lounge. Now wrecked after being turned into the witherspoons-style open plan beer insertion supermarket. Bouncer presence needed due to proportion of drunk 16 y/os. Ideal place for the 20 something to "pull". Lots of stunning women and lots of slappers too.
