Green Dragon, Hucknallback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Visited here as well as the local Wetherspoons. It's a large pub with a small room used for dining at the front and a spacious main bar area at the rear, complete with big screens and a few of the more 'characterful' locals. Beers on were Blue Monkey Infinity, Marstons Pedigree, Wychwood Hobgoblin, Sharps Doom Bar, Caledonian Mild Mayhem & Banks's Mild. Ok, but nothing special.

Thought id update the review of this pub so here goes.
Friendly local pub, great atmosphere, never seen any bother in there.
Great range of real ales rotated frequently and kept excellent.
pool table kept well and has 2 dart boards.
Large spacious pub, clean has disabled toilets and easy access for wheel chairs and mobility scooters.
Sunday dinners are cooked and always look smell and taste great.

One of the best pubs I know in the area. it's quiet during the day, good food evenings and week-ends, the real ale is superb (credits to the CellarMan).
The pool table is looked after, and is not dominated totally by punters who expect to play for cash. 2 Dart boards, nice staff and licensee. Large and usually un-crowded (by that I mean one doesn't have to stand shoulder to shoulder clutching a pint).
I don't think I have ever heard a bad word in there over some 9 years, apart from the odd word during someone telling another they messed up on pool/darts/trivia machine.
It's kept clean in all ways, toilets included.

also has sports on TV and a pool table. Found it to be friendly and the real ale good.

Congratulations to the Green Dragon for its inclusion in "The Good Beer Guide". OK, there's more to life than that but it is testimony to the fact that this serves the best beer in Hucknall at the moment.

Seems to be picking up again now that there's a new landlord in the place. Beers a bit pricy, but it's worth paying extra for a decent pint in a clean & decent pub. The foods pretty good too. Well worth trying!

Getting a decent pint in Hucknall is not easy - you're far more likely to get one at 'Bargain Booze' than in a pub! However, the Dragon does serve a very good pint. No, it isn't cheap but you have to ask yourself whether paying anything for what comes out of most other places in the town can count as good value.

I agree with Seymour Butz - extremely bland pub with very little to offer.
What is it with these off-town centre pubs whacking the prices up too? 2.40 is more than we pay in the town centre. 65p a pint dearer than the Lion, 35p dearer than the Moon & 10p dearer than everywhere else town centre wise (apart from Romans, which is 2.50 downstairs (probably about 15 quid upstairs) & if you drink the beer in there, you're braver person than me!!)

This is actually one of the best pubs in Hucknall at this moment in time, no bouncers, cuase there is no trouble, staff are nice, couple a bit dim but all friendley, lots of regulars, karaoke night very good, but no other entitainment which is a pity, but the food especially on a sunday is amazing and i thought very good value, but u need to book first.

A dowdy pub in need of much revitalisation. The people who go there only do so because its empty and quite easy to get to the bar. A huge portion of the pub is sacrificed to those whome want to play pool & darts. A bad choice in anybody's book. However, it's reasonably clean throughout but, when there's a football match playing, that goes out the window. Too many faults, in my opinion, make this a Pub to visit only as a last resort.

This used to be the in place with a regular disco and LOTS of women. Went downhill rapidly. Now features a dining extension. Occasional local bands otherwise pretty boring and bland. Just out of town so no bouncers yet. Local muppets are too drunk to crawl the 1/2 mile to it.
