In my last review a year ago I stated that the decor wasn't up to much. They have now done it up and it looks fantastic. Now I'm getting the feel of the place I'm liking it a bit more than I did last year! Do actually make a point of adding it to my crawls now!

Decent enough local pub. Reasonably cheap compared to the expensive town centre. Decor not up to much, locals friendly but knocking on in years (not always a bad thing!). Beer yard medium sized, always room to sit. Wouldn't go out my way but comfortable enough to pop into.

Doesn't look that inviting from the outside but this is a really friendly establishment. Three ales on - Theakston's Mild, Slaughterhouse Saddleback, and the guest ale was Woodfordes Wherry. Cheap food.

Proper old fashioned pub. Great Real Ales. Large screen TV showing all sports. Superb family atmosphere! Brilliant

Nice quiet pub.

Nice place. Local pub but made to feel welcome. Served banks bitter and Slaughterhouse 'saddleback'. Beer served well and although the place is a little tired it is clean and cared for.

Recently re-opened, (well a year ago!) we have a very friendly welcoming atmosphere, and will cater to most tastes, with our new menu too!
Pop in to say hi to Ev and Ally,
We loo forward to seeing you soon!

the pub sign was an antelope as on the cap badge of the royal warwickshire regiment. hope it is still in existance as we are a group of ex royal warwicks intending to hold a reunion there
