I like all the pubs in Old Oxted but this is probably my favourite. Decent line up of beer, friendly service, outstanding beer garden in the summer and charming interior in the winter.

Good Beer Guide 2018 Entry - so chosen over the other three pubs in the high street (although George looks closed down).
Four real ales on - London Pride chosen and only in average condition.

They do a very friendly beer festival a couple of times a year and seem to get good local bands. Since moving to Oxted a couple of years ago I have had some good times here. Garden is big enough for a good atmosphere on a sunny day and for aforementioned beer festivals. Downstairs bar is a good place to watch the Rugby and the beer seems well kept

Regular beers are Pride, Adnams and Westerham Summer Perle. Maybe Westerham changes seasonally. Guest was Rudgate Battleaxe. Ales 3.20-3.30. Appears you have to enter via the alley to the right. Large beer garden out the back popular with families. Petanque court if that's the right word. View of the North Downs from the garden. Very pleasant.

Nice Skogs

consistently good and the best pub for food and beer in old Oxted, helped by the fact that the Bell seems to have gone downhill rapidly. Would remommend it for a meal and a pint

Charming traditional style hostelry serving fine pale ale from the Westerham brewery. Friendly service and charming layout.

Newest member of staff has left so any alledged incidents should have too.

A nice country style pub, with a strange mixture of staff. Some nice , some bad and some absolutely terrible. Food is good, does what it says on the tin. Beer is good and not too overpriced . agree with one of the comments about the newest staff member can be seen on the stairwell serving up more than just beer,Honestly won't be going back till she is gone.

Best pub in oxted, great real ale which is rotated regulary.Good food ,generous portions and well priced with barbecues in the summer(garden). I don't know what '2 pints please'is refering to as i'm a regular and have not seen anything irregular going on,on the stairwell. Maybe they'd had more than their limit of 2 pints!!!

Usually have a good selection of real ales on, however the latest addition to the team really lets the place down. Has been seen "serving up" more than just alcohol in the stairwell...Going downhill fast.

Best of the pubs in Old Oxted, good selection of beers and very nice food. Can't go wrong here. Only improvement would be to have slightly more comfortable seating.

Spent the evening here after a long walk with group of friends - very cosy with a great atmosphere and fantastic beers on offer. Food good as well. Had Black Eagle from local Westerham brewery which went down very well. Staff very freindly, a great pub.

Excellent pub, fine choice of beers, friendly staff and customers, roaring fire, let alone good food and garden.

I agree, best pub out of the four along here. It looks and feels like a real pub.

Probably the best traditional pub in Oxted - has a very historic feel but a good mix of clientele from all ages. Can get very busy but staff always seem to cope pretty well. Nice garden for the summer and for a regular pub there is a good choice of imaginative food.
