Possibly the best pub in Prague on my recent visit for my birthday with the lads. Impressive array of bottled beers surround the place. I tried a bottle of oatmeal stout at 5.8%, which was smooth and velvety.
I would have liked to have stayed longer or revisited for a longer stay, but I was with a large gang and we made our way in to central Prague.
Would highly recommend.

My partner and I came to the Dum whilst we were on holiday. The beers we had were fantastic as was the meal we had. Service very efficient. Would recommend a visit.

A good quench after a long day strolling through Prague. Particularly good on this visit was the straight Lezak pale lager which was very crisp and hoppy. Food portions very good, and service was quick. Note the venue has a menu in English, which I cannot remember seeing on my 2004 visit.
All good.

A good place to visit, if ever you are in Prague. You can buy the sampler selection of 8 beers before purchasing a larger drink. Our 8 were light, dark, wheat, banana, sour cherry, nettle, coffee and the beer of the month - blueberry. The blueberry was the best. Others amongst the group tried a champagne beer which was also very good. The food and service was fine. Well worth seeking out.

Bustling brewpub, with magnificent deep, gold, yeast beer and classic Czech dark (try the mix). Set below the Czech Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, a recommendation if ever there was one. Food's not bad either. Tried 40 different brews in the city recently, and this beer's in the top 3 in my opinion.Essential Prague beer stop.

Fantastic pub. The home-brew beers are excellent, I particularly liked the wheat beer, but the light, dark and 'mix' are also reaklly good. Not as strong as other brew-pubs in Prague, which is a good thing. Not so sure on the speciality beers, a small taster was more than adequate! The food was reasonable and well-priced. It gets very busy of an evening, so it's best to arrive early, or try it at lunch time. Definitely one of my favourite Prague pubs.

Good place, I would recommend the banana beer! Although when we went there seemed to be a lot of pre-reserved tables and the staff seemed a bit sick of having to deal with UK tourists.

Good brewpub, relaxed atmosphere, excellent dark or light brews and a choice of experimental sample beers if you're feeling adventurous, although the nettle beer was - interesting! Good goulash to soak it up. The "giraffa" is recommended for a session!

Pleasant brewpub with a relaxed atmosphere (we visited in the afternoon when the only other people were locals - some families, some businessmen). A sample tray can be bought. The beers taste OK - a light and a dark lager with various flavourings that either work for you or not. Not really adventurous - more of a quirky gimmick to attract attention. I liked the idea, though these were the least attractive beers to drink in Prague. I wouldnt say this is a must visit place as its a fairly standard modern brewpub, but its a pleasant place.

Forget the "speciality" beers and stick to the Klassic light and dark beers.Ghoulash and dumplings were delicious.I even bought a t-shirt.

Didn't like it here. We had a glass of the coffee beer (a watery dark lager with two coffee beans floating in it, pronounced coffee/choc milkshake flavours, not harmonious) and the sour cherry (whole cherry floating in it, not very nice either).
Sadly disappointing. We found the service far from friendly and extremely slow. Generally the place had a miserable air to it. It was about 3pm when we visited and the place was busy but completely lacked atmosphere.

Exactly as EdgarBriggsMI5 below says. Good beer, hefty food and friendly service(for Prague).

Cracking beer, particularly liked the dark-which goes down well. The Wheat beer wasn`t bad either. Food was good & the service was excellent(for Prague)!

I told Lee about this! One of the few pubs Ron Pattinson's website doesn't list. My favourite in Prague. Don't do what my mate did - borrowed toilet key and returned his HOTEL key to bar. Back by tram next morning 1100 - any excuse! Groups might try a 'giraffe', a 4.5 litre glass cylinder with a tap, stands about 4 feet tall on your table and you serve yourself. Menu in English is available. The beers speak for themselves, especially the dark.

Stop telling people about it !!

Definitely the best brew pub we visited. As well as their own light & dark brews there was a whole range of speciality beers which on our visit included wheat, cocoa, banana, sour cherry, nettle and chilli. Samples can be purchased for around 30p, take-outs are available and tours of the brewery can be arranged by appointment. There is a good menu based on Czech cuisine with a quaintly named "Little things that go well with Beer" section. It has the feel of a boisterous German beer hall to it with a regimented layout of tables. However the drinking areas are separated so the effect is one of a lively bar rather than it being overpowering. Fairly easy to find and like Lee I recommend a visit.

This is an excellent brewpub not too far from Charles Square (Karlovo Namesti) and is 5 minutes walk from the metro station.
The two regular beers are Cerny and Svetle, meaning dark and light, which are approximately 70 pence for a metric pint (500ml). They are both exquisite in flavour and must be tried. up to five other beers are brewed, including a cherry, coffee and nettle beer. There is a comprehensive food menu on offer daily, and if you speak a few words of Czech the staff and locals become very friendly.
There is no music, and the pub, comprising three distnict drinking areas, affords warm hearty conversation. This is one of the best pubs in Prague, and I recommend a visit.
