Phantom Winger, Prestonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Since the last review, the place HAS been sorted. We regularly stay at the Ibis hotel next door which has a totally soulless fizz-only bar, so we usually end up in the Phantom Winger. OK, so it's standard pub grub, but we have always had a friendly welcome and the quality is very acceptable. Also, now has two real ales on offer, one of which is usually the incomparable Wainwright.

The other reviews are spot on. Countless dirty tables, the only clear one wasn't set or clean. It took the uninterested, rude and miserable staff 40 minutes to clear to two messy tables around us. We waited a long time for very poor food. All pre-packed, pre-made frozen rubbish. Poor quality control over the dishes. Asked for cutlery (as there wasn't enough on the table for our party of 4+1 child) got a grunt and 2 minutes later a waitress ran by and slammed down a pot full of cutlery. Not a smile cracked by one of the staff. Poorly run, needs sorting! Don't bother going!

Clean, reasonable food at a cheap price but the service was very poor and staff were rude.

The table was dirty and covered in used crockery when we arrived, I had to clear it myself and wipe it down (it was the only vacant table large enough for our party of 8.
Some of our friends food arrived after 20 minutes (2 people), We complained after 35 minutes that the rest of the food had not arrived. Our food arrived between 45 mins to 1 hour after ordering (for the remaining 6 of us) and was cold/overcooked.
Upon taking this further, the Manageress (Lisa) was disinterested in our complaints and went as far as to suggest that we didn't understand how restaurant food should be served.
Lousy customer service. Never going back - best avoided!

What can i say but phantom minger! Bad food, poor sevice, dirty party room, unorganised, restraunt dirty, moody myserable staff who are under staffed and do not care about customer service. Big thumbs down and would never go again. Childrens party a shambles.

The food is s**t. Generally uncooked, arrive late or don't arrive at all. Waiters all seem to be p****d off and moody. I've been 3 times, would have chosen a different venue after the first experience but ad no choice as over 20 of us - never again!

On our first visit we had to wait 2 hours for our food and on another visit it was claimed we hadn't paid for our food, even though we had to pay in advance and we had the receipt. Not been since.

A big new pub, located next to a travellodge and the motorway. Hence it's atmosphere is not the best.
Food is good though, and the title, referring to local hero Tom Finney is cool.
