Really liked this place, but not sure why. Friendly locals!

Great pub, with locals who will always bring you into the conversation, if you wish, but will also leave you alone depending on your mood.
Good beer and well worth a return visit, sometimes can be very quiet, and the the place just explodes into life.

A favourite with the ladies due to its jelly baby vodka. I favourite for the chaps for serving beer in two pint glasses. Quite a simple little place, yet always busy and another place you have to visit when in Aber.

Yet another pub selling expensive MILD - 2.20 a pint. At least it's on handpull and a well kept Banks's Original MILD, Banks's Bitter is also on handpull, 4 other taps dispense a variety of chemical lagers. Comfortable seating area by bar with a pool room out back.

Ah the Pier Hotel. Another late find for the students, but perfectly positioned. Decent drinks, has Bank's so the ale's alright and is generally OK.
Oh and the jellybaby vodka can kill off most first years that may be with you.

Ticks most essential boxes for a good pub: Good beer: check Offers on spirit doubles: check Pool table: check Jukebox: check Great characters: check As good as any pub as pre-club bar, but beware of the toasties at the bar, no-one has ever been seen eating one!
