Since the last review just over 8 years ago, even the Wetherspoon's is now more. The new owners have kept the name The Lawrence Sheriff, but as with many former 'spoon's, it's a vast barn-like place with many handpulls that are no longer in use. There were however 4 ales - Greene King Abbo, Thwaite's Lancaster Bomber, Ringwood Circadian & McMullen's IPA. They also had Old Rosie cider. I'd be surprised to see this place stay open for too much longer, as it was very quiet. But, maybe it gets busy later in the night. We moved on from here to the much better Rugby Tap Room, a fairly new micropub that was quite a contrast to the Lawrence Sheriff.

DJ is good - especially the one with the glasses (DJ Holland I think he's called). Really good music!

Full of teenagers. Too loud for the barstaff to hear you. Toilets up a looooong flight of steps so not good if your bladder is overflowing. Defo not recommended for during the day either. Meals have risen in price but not worth it. Coke same price but in smaller glass. Dont do decaf coffee anymore either :/

Was Boots, was Bar Med, now the Litter Tray never was any good. Far too busy at the weekends, but if you fancy beers and a dance floor there is a frightening lack of competition so hell do your worst!

has now been taken over by 'The Litten Tree'

Never busy anymore, been refurbed but looks like a granny bingo hall now. Pile of crud, everyone leave Rugby now!

Not a bad place to be, one of the better club/pubs in Rugby. Bar staff friendly, seating very comfortable and music is often popular. Bouncers can be rude and allow clubbers to be beaten up without action taken.

Brightly decked out large bar. Dancefloor near the back. Always busy at the weekends. Opposite walkabout. No queue to get in. Doorstaff friendly. Drinks offers, always have a good dj in.
