Under new management! It is so much cleaner than i remember it, and real ale on pump again.

Under new management, saw a fun Irish-style band there on St Patrick's night last week, very different to how it was in here a year ago, get the impression the new landlords are trying to change this place for the better, one to keep an eye on...

Now under new management and much cleaner and brighter than it was before. Offers open mic night on a wednesday, karaoke on a friday and live music on a saturday. Atmosphere is warm and friendly with a good mix of customers. Recently reported as closed however is very much open.

This pub has recently been taken over by new management. Where as before I would never have gone in, I now find it inviting, bright and clean. There is Open Mic Night on Wednesdays with Karaoke and Live Music over the weekend. With reasonabley priced beer and a good atmosphere I would recommend it.

Appealing place, some live music goes on here. Happy atmosphere.

Not a good place. I dont understand why it's so liked. Granted it's got DJs/Live Music nights which is it's saving grace. The Pub itself is a dive!

Pretty decent pub I'd say. First time I went there was tonight, Sunday. I like the atmosphere. Yeah so what if its a hippy pub at least there aren't any assholes around looking for fights or chav troublemakers.
Also they've got a pretty decent sound system and dj set up in there with a publican who knows how to get the best out of it. Okay the dance section itself isn't supa huge and I could well imagine a Friday/Saturday getting a bit close for comfort but personally I thought the pub was a real find.
The night I went to was a drum n bass night but there are other nights I noticed such as a techno/electro/trance night which I'm interested to check out.
The one issue I did have with the pub was the luke warm bottled bud I was given. Nothing jacks me off more than being given luke warm beer. I like my beer ice cold.
Over and out.

This gets points for the name and nothing more.
To add to the Fawcett Inn gags, theres also the Fawcett Inn Cider apparently.
|
Aparently there's a part of the bar upstairs, commonly known as "Fawcett Upper!" ....and if you tilt your head and look at the pub from outside there is a possibility of seeing "Fawcett Inn Sideways!"
Not my favourite Pub in the world, but a handy watering hole between other watering holes!
GNC? what does that stand for mate?

Probably the best name for a pub anywhere. It's just a shame they don't brew their own cider. I once told a friend that they did and he went in there and asked the barmaid for a pint of, "Fawcett Inn cider!" A poor joke I admit but hey you only live once.
