Has as been mentioned - it is an imposing building and probably worth dropping in for a swift pint but the ale (Pedigree on this visit - though EPA and Courage were also on) weren't too great. The food was your bog standard pub fare but better than what you would get from Wetherspoons (which ain't saying a lot). It is somewhere a lot of people drop in to after either attending a funeral or visiting loved ones at the adjacent cemetery though that is only because it is the only place for a pint in the vicinty.

Imposing building in nice parkland location. But the inside was more like an old people's home or a hotel bar than a pub. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime, when there seemed to be a mix of extended families, older groups or younger couples with children. Service was quick but frosty. Only two real ales were available, despite there being 6 handpulls - Cains Bitter and Roosters Celtic Corker. Not overly impressed.

Rubbish
Rubbish service, standard fair on food and beer.
Nothing special at all

Fantastic location, diabolical staff and food. Under no circumstances order food - you will be dissappointed. Bar left to be run by under-experienced young staff who haven't a clue and couldn't really care less anyway.

Great location and lovely building. Food is acceptable but beer is not very varied.
