This pub is going from bad to worse. Went there on Sunday to watch the footie and the place was overrun by screaming kids running around whilst their foul mouthed dad'd propped up the bar. The law is that children aren't allowed in pubs unless they are eating. These kids were not eating and the bar staff didn't care. In fact the barmaid Rachel gets my vote for most miserable and unfriendly barmaid in Bucks.

Came here after the Falcon beer festival. Friendly 'community' pub which despite the comments below I felt perfectly happy in. Just one ale; GK Abbott which was in good nick - need more beer though. Worth a visit & I would say that it's about 7 feet from the bus stop to Wycombe (number 37) which actually didn't turn up (unless he left very EARLY) so sod it I thought & ran the 4.5 miles back to Wycombe - as you do.

Large pub, with lots of seating, TV screens on the wall, catering for the JD Wetherspoon crowd. There are positives and negatives with this pub. The negatives, it is a bit chavtastic, there's a pool table that seems to attract the Wooburn Green 'Massive' and their bitches. Only one real ale on when we went, Abbot The positives, well the beer is cheaper than other pubs and the food was pretty good value for money, 8 something for an enormous plate of gammon and chips.

Nice surroundings and staff seem really nice but the positives end there in my opinion i'm afraid. Not a nice atmosphere, full of loud-mouth chavs in tracksuits and trainers, and a few old drunk sex-pest types!
Also there seemed to be quite a few underage looking youths, and they didn't appear to be asked for ID at the bar.
Don't go in if your not a regular, quite a hostile place.

This beautiful, traditional, wood-beamed pub is the only one in the area, where you can see the big sporting events on big screens within a great atmosphere. It's also a lovely place to take the family as it is very clean and has an attractive garden area. The food's fantastic, they have an extensive menu (including 18 varieties of burgers), and the Manager, John, is very friendly, highly professional and runs a tight ship.

Simply awful. Nothing else can be added to make it any better, except perhaps the local Chav's could be asked for ID, instead of serving them anything when they are clearly only 14/15. 0/10

It does exactly what it says on the tin, and good on them for not trying to be something it never will be. Its a good honest pub with friendly staff. If you want something quieter or more intimate, cross the green!!

Joke of a pub, full of chavs, drinks promotions, 14 year olds drinking pop.

What's your problem? I'm trying to rate these pubs and you prefer to insult people. Shows this guy is on here for the right reasons! And when did I say i was a chav OR wear hoodies.
WHAT A PRICK!!!
birdy22 - 16 May 2006 13:23
Full of Teenage Chav's such as Birdy22, wiv dere Hoodies innit??!! A tosspot's hole really; more like a Youth Club than a Pub, cos if you're over 19, you're too old! Innnnnnnnnnnitttttt!!!

They don't let you in if you're wearing a hoody or a cap. What's that about?
No atmosphere. Only go there to watch footie if you haven't got sky.

I agree with Alain, comment but would add that it is an excellent place to watch football as it has a large screen as well as numerous television's doted around the bar. They turn the volume up, and there is quite often a great atmosphere to watch. Real ale is Ok - has improved - but a little pricey. But give it a miss unless you are there for the football - (re Alain's)
