Went there with friends around 1pm, first thing when we got there the waitress sat us on the reserve table and said the table is free until 5 pm.
Then we went to the bar to order some drink,another waitress and manager came to us and asked if we can move to another table and apologize then and I told the manager that I dont mind moveto another table because we haven't order any food yet but I just dont want to sorta like come to ask us again while we re eating, and the waitress and manager said no it wont be.
Believe it or not !! after order the starter and starting to eat, the waitress came to us again !! and asked if we can move to another table cos this table that we are sitting is reserve table so I said, well your manager sit us here otherwise we wont sit here so she told me OHhh it's miscommunication ! then we refuse to move cos we think we will finish eating as quick as we can and off to somewhere else., then another waitress came over and asked again !! We said we wont move cos we will finish soon. Then she said well let me start clear your table then and she picked the plate and bucket of chicken starter away from us when there is still full !! We told them what they did then next thing I know , this manager guy came over and asked if we can move to another table and offer us a free dessert. I said to him that they should have put us in the reserve table in the first place then he just make the face like he's not bothered and told us that he gave us 30 mins to eat and now it's time and he want the table ! I was stunned and said to him , what half and hour to eat your starter ,main course and dessert , are you having a laugh ? then he was like ... make the face like he can smell something stink.OH MY LORD !! All my life never face the terrible manager like this before. We felt so angry and not even eat the rest or finish the drinks, I feel disgusted of his bad manner icluding his staffs !
Not reccomended for anyone who just walk in, food not brill and you have to pay first like you sit and eat in the cantene. So whatever you eat you cant complain if they re not very nice cos u already paid !

I was very satisfied with the food and ale at this place. Although unfortunately we ordered a desert and seemed to forget about us. Would still go back though.

Had a delicious meal and kids played in play area. Great Pub, Friendly Staff, Excellent food and great value for money

The pub is usually pretty decent and the food is generally good with large portions.
It's been much much better recently since the refurb.
However tonight (a Monday) we actually gave up trying to be served. The bar person was sooo sloooow it was untrue and she seemed to be the only one. Huge queue for food too.

went here for my mums birthday the food was cold,paid for larger dinner it came same size as a regular dinner that was two pounds cheaper,we had to have the cuttery changed twice as they still had food on them!!!!!!!!WE HAD PAID UP FRONT FOR THE DINNER(STOPS PEOPLE REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE VERY BAD FOOD THEY SERVE)the food looks nothing like the picture on the menu,THE PORTIONS WERE VERY SMALL WE WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN.

The food in this establishment is very poor. We used to use it a lot but after the disgusting meals we had the last couple of times and the joke they called a meal last night they will not be getting anymore chances. They did not even apologise when we politely complained

The chefs cant cook, many complaints have been made about poor quality of food, letters of complaint sent out to head office....nothing changes, its still the same. Dreadfull place, which is a shame because it could be a fab pub if the right staff were running it
Only good for a beer outside in summer.

We went to this place last Wednesday. We noticed the bar was very busy and the service was slow. Ordered an English kimberley ale pie. Enjoyed.
Beers on tap were Kimberley ale. So nothing special there then
