The pub has recently had a make over and looks very smart. Food is still competitively priced and good. The beer is also good with guest ales regulary appearing. Brakespear, London Pride and Doom Bar are the regulars with up to 2 guests. Purity Ubu and Itchen Vally Dark Solstice being the current guests. Still doing cheapy pint Monday at £2.49 and on other days there is 20p off for CAMRA members. Best pub southb of Reigate.

My local and is still doing well. £2.49 a pint on Mondays for bitter which can't be bad. Usually a good choice of guest aleas although delivery of guest ales is erratic I gather from the staff.

A nice spacious pub, with a bright decor. The floor space is split into several different areas with a mix of dining type seating and easy chairs with low tables. and a central bar area. We called in the middle of the afternoon so didn't eat. They had four ales on pump two Greene King beers, Sharps Doom Bar and a guest beer; Dark Island from the Orkneys - a dark ale (4.6%) with an unusual flavour reminiscent of roasted coffee beans. I quite liked it. Full marks to the young bar-maid for offering us a taster glass first without being asked. Will call again and try the food.

Still consistently good both for food and for beer. The changing beer list is always good to see and they are one of the cheapest pubs in Reigate. Keep up the good work.

It's funny you never go into a pub by what you hear by word of mouth which is a very powerful thing. We've been in the area for years and never went here because of this. However, we went and were very pleasantly surprised. Nice inside. food is very good value and good quality and the beer is good. I will now add this to 'our pubs to go to' list!

As this is my nearest pub I use it quite a bit and pleased to say that John the manager has been keeping his beers in good condition and the food whilst from a chain supplier is generally good with a changing menu. Extra staff at busy times would be a help as tables sometimes don't get cleared of plates very quickly.
|
Good quality ale and the 5 pie was also good value for money and a real pie not just a lid. My only major criticism is a significant lack of cleanliness of the plates and cutlery for our meal. They were crusty with food residue underneath. I can't imagine I'll be returning

Having complained to Ember Inns about a year ago about the quality of bar staff and quality of the beer I am pleased to say that the pub has improved tremendously. The current Manager and bar staff are very good and the beer is now consistently good and reasonably priced. As a result the pub is much more busy than it used to be.

Went to this pub on saturday night. The staff were friendly, the new manager seemed nice we were too late for food but had couple of drinks. The decor is good. all round good pub
|
Bit bland really, sorry not much more to say.

Has had a recent refurb. very nice and comfy. Beer and food is good, staff are always friendly and welcoming
|
A bit of a plastic pub. Never has enough staff on and the presence of nauseating pop music on a loop is infuriating. OAP's seem to love this place.

They have a big telly for the world cup and Cobra lager. A bit smoky in that bit though and at least they haven't got the "Ember Inns" fire burning at the moment like "the management" make them have on the rest of the year PHEW!

Nice pub. Nice beers. Nice food. All round nice. :)
|
Same as before but with music. If you are lucky they will have more than one pint of the speciality beers left
|
not a bad pub fairly priced busy on a Tuesday for the quiz VERY busy. No music or kids though and very slow service unless you are a local shame coz one or the other or a bit of all 3 would make this a 7 /10 pub
