Blue Pig, Wolveyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Called in on a Sunday lunchtime a couple of weeks ago with a group of about 10 cyclists. New management, lick of paint and was doing good business. As it is on a side street in Wolvey, they are using directionals and sandwich boards to let people know they exist. Nice beer garden. Food arrived in reasonable time considering size of party, and the portions were good. No beer tasted unfortunately, not a recommended way to re-hydrate, but will return

Lovely traditional pub in a wonderful location. Friendly welcome and well patronised.
Unfortunately I visited during a lunchtime and couldn't try any of the ales, but will return one hot sunny evening for a few drinks.

Excellent pub all round. Apparently dates back to the 15th century, certainly a traditional and unspoilt oak-beamed interior. Excellent food (we had the mixed grill - highly recommended) and 5 cask ales, 2 of which are guests. Well worth a visit.

A distant relative used to run this pub, many, many years ago. My father still has some of the original oil lamps from when the business was sold (probably in the mid '60s.
That said, I haven't visited in many a year, but having looked at the photos and read the reviews, I think I will be calling in the next time I'm in the Coventry area.

A Greene King emporium of the highest order - shame I had to drink a shandy due to cash flow problems but I shall return one day and drink the place dry.
*** Polite notice *** Beware of the 'every-other-word-is-f**cking' gypos if you plan to bring your polo, croquet, or badminton club here.

In the GBG, and I have to say the further I go from Cambridge the better the Greene King beers get !. Friendly and cosy (though usual GK look).

A must if you are in the area or well worth a drive to if you're not!! The new licensees Isabel and Jason make you feel very welcome, as do the rest of their staff. An olde worlde pub with dining area, seating outside front and back plus ample car parking. Varied range of beers and and an excellent food menu both lunch time and evening.... can't wait to return....

Visited today 7.11.04, and was not impressed. Obviously the management has changed since our last visit. I had a vegetarian meal and it was awful. Described as cheesy vegetables with chips, it turned out to be mainly mashed potato with a smidgin of overcooked bits of carrot and cabbage. It was completely tasteless.Potatoes AND chips?????? Potatoes don't count as vegetables. Yuk. Shan't be coming again
