What a suprise, its now for sale. Hopefully it will be bought by someone who revisits what had previously worked for years. GOOD ALES, well maintained pumps and not trying to change the target customer group to the Last Orders brigade. If only the Bank Top lot would buy it! They have proven at the Tap that a well run traditional pub serving good ales can work.

last comment obviously written by the new landlords! In reality locals have deserted in droves, which tells you the real story.

new licencees are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, they have started opening at 12 now and serve a snack menu until 7 . the ainsworth now has a pool table. they have the cask marque for excellent ale . the beer prices are the same ,.worth a visit

What a rocking night at the Ainsworth. Brilliant band on last night-Sat 21st Feb. Didn't find out the name of them though. Does anyone know out there?

A very pleasant pub with a good range of well kept real ale on draught (which comes served in barrel glasses). Friendly bar staff, and a few different interesting rooms to sit in. Well worth visiting.
