Pub has re-opened following a few months closure, and is under new management. A historic pub first mentined in 1631, with a cosy fire and comfy seating. Timothy Taylor Landlord real ale available in good condition.

I''ve only ever been in this pub a couple of times-not too keen on the clientele . However,it has been closed for months-no doubt due to the greed of its pubco owners in trying to screw an excessice rent from the licencee. As one of the most historic buildings in Chertsey it will be a shame if it doesn't re-open as a pub

Very much a traditional old-style coaching inn that was once upon a time on the main Guildford/Woking to Windsor/Staines route. It looks like a character pub inside and out, it's conveniently located between the train station and town centre, and the staff are welcoming. I was surprised how quiet it was on a Friday night, but enjoyed my pint of Courage Best.

The madness of 'king George!!!!!!
Jesus h! This place is 'king scary, especially after key of ivory, waves of dimensia/nausea
Saw old boon in here. He was with morrisey, talk about men behaving madly, they were with a rich mans clunes. This pub could do with a bit of a refurb: about ninety seconds with a flamethrower should do it.

We visited this pub a week ago. It has been taken over by a nice young couple. We found it very friendly and will visit again.

Dunno about the Italian restaurant, but I popped in the pub for a quick one the other day and it still seemed quite dead and pony to me.
|
NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! Italian restaurant with a vast choice from lunchtime or evening menu (homemade pizza's & pasta to crocodile!) Live music friday & saturday nights, excellent beer garden, friendly staff & great atmosphere. Highly recommended for great eve out or just to stop by for a drink.

Did Ted and Doreen use to have the Station Hotel as well back then?
|
Low ceiling in the Windsor bar, a friendly little local near Chertsey Station, the only real ale was Courage Best but it was in top condition. Restaurant being refurbished at present.

My Parents Ted and Doreen Silver were the Publicans at the George until they came to Australia in 1968. Does anyone remember us.

This seemed a very old pub, with low ceilings etc. I found the clientele friendly - The bar was crowded but a kind gent made way for me. I liked this pub, it had a certain character. Appears in places to be some sort of hook up joint for men and their Thai Brides, but I'll let that pass.
