Backstreet pub that had no other customers when we arrived on a wet Saturday lunchtime. It was so wet that the roof between the bar and separate games room was leaking. Buckets were in situ. The small garden at the front is a little strange. You wouldn't fit too many people into it. But it wasn't quite the weather for outdoor drinking. Ales were Butcombe Bitter, Lacons Encore & Dark Star Hophead. Cider was Old Rosie. Pumpclips on the walls pointed to a good range of ales having been stocked. One other customer had entered by the time we arrived. A nice pub. But it probably feels very different when busier.

Lovely little local with interesting historical photographs. Three beers on but choice a bit disappointing with just one local, Buffy's, on.
|
On my visit three well kept ales and a 'new' landlord. Things change - I'd certainly go back here now.

For a friday night, the choice of beer was crap (London Pride and Wherry) obviously what the locals want. We walked especially to this not particularly nice part of Yarmouth to escape the crowds. I dont see why we bothered. For a 'real ale' emporium I/we were very disappointed

Very unfriendly unfortunately, not sure why.

A sharply unfriendly feel at this pub, it was my second visit( I made a swift visit a few years ago). The ales were fine but made a quick exit.

Busy back street local. Surprisingly the only pub of our Yarmouth crawl to support local Black Friars Brewery. Available beer same as listed below by my fellow crawler Rod_Harigo. The pub was well supported by locals and quite busy whilst here.

Small and somewhat dated, but friendly and welcoming, locals' pub in the middle of a residential area. Had pool, darts, $ky TV and a good range of beer, including Anchor (Titanic), Mitre Gold and Yarmouth Bitter (Black Friars), Swallowtail (Humpty Dumpty), and Old Rosie cide. We'd also just missed out on Harbour Lights and Lemon & Ginger.

Tucked away in residential area, friendly pub with a chatty landlord. One room bar area. Enjoyed the choice of real ales and the conversation with landlord and customers.

Free pint for anyone who catches the landlord smiling.
