I passed this building today and it is still boarded up and for sale 9 years after my last post!

Still boarded up and for sale.

Apparently Wetherspoons retained ownership of the Lodestar lease despite not running the place themselves. That lease is now for sale.

Used to be a Wetherspoons a few years ago. Don't know who owns it now but there is little in the way of beer selection and real ales are no more. Serves food but I've never had any. Badly in need of redecoration. Very few customers in there on my last two weekend visits.

Beer (Hopback summer lightning) was in good nick when last I went (some while ago now). There's more atmosphere on the Moon, however...

Jesus Christ. As if Neston wasn't bad enough they open this place. "Beer" served by what can only be described as the challenged. As for the clientele. A cross between Dawn of the Dead and The Wicker Man. Anyone who ventures into this godforsaken hole with any expectation of a good time should wave goodbye to it. You have been warned. At least when it was Kwik Save it closed at half 5.

My banana split was black. You don't need to be the best chef in the world (or particularly bright) to know you don't serve a black banana. Used to have a great atmosphere, how times change.

We visited this pub today 6 feb 2005 - the beer was very good - the food was DIABOLICAL!!!!! Service from kitchen bad, food cold or burnt, potatoes and vegetables very undercooked. On the whole a definite no no foodwise

Typical Weatherspoons pub. No character whatsoever and sits in the space once occupied by Kwik Save. The choice of pubs in central Neston is pretty dire so this is probably your best bet for a half decent pint.

It's like walking into an airport departure lounge. As ever the beer is cheap, but lacks atmosphere!
