A spoons which has given me the impression of trying to juice the students by slowly putting up the prices. The Friendship inn is a better pub in the area and if you're in the area then I recommend you skip Fallowfield altogether and head down to Withington

A strange mix of students and local piss heads attend this venue. Extremely busy with a good selection of ales and offers. A new building facing the old fallowfield train station it's a shame Mr wetherspoons didn't choose that as it's venue.

The few times I have been in here it has always seemed a pretty chilled out place. Last time I had a Ilkley Fireside porter which was nice. Been some years since I stayed here for an entire evening though - too many places to visit!

Suburban Wetherspoons in uninspiring building populated by the usual Wetherspoons types. Clearly opened to tap into the local student market from University of Manchester. Good value food as is usual with these places. Generally clean and tidy and a good range of beers on. Convenient for breakfast if your staying in the hotel nearby, and cheaper!

The "end", as you so quaintly put it, is a sparkler, and if the staff refuse to serve it the way you want it, they should have their collective arse(s) kicked.

Rude staff! I only asked for the end to be taken off the pump so my beer would comme iout "flat" like we have it down south! Wouldn't bother if I wasn't staying near here for a few days. Nice pint of Blindmans Siberia despite the staff.

Walked in Saturday afternoon, obvious it had been busy due to the amount of cluttered tables. Beer poor and poor festival choice. Food portions seen to be shrinking , could easily count the chips!
|
A decent pub, no way near brilliant but since it's a Wetherspoons and the alcohol is cheap, it's good but i think the cheap prices make it good.

Of a weekend/evening it's like every other Lloyds - rammed, hot, unpleasant and full of pissed people. I've never drunk in here during the day, so I couldn't comment, but there are better places in the area to drink.

Bit of a mish mash of locals/students...The locals look like they`re looking for victims. The students look like they`d prefer to drink in didsbury..the food is good...the service can be very poor..Its `guess if the beer is on` time when you get to the bar-it usually isn`t!!...

The pub itself looks nice and thats it. All the staff look like they do not want to be ther. It promotes cheap drink and therefore gets a lot of drunk people within it. Every week there is a fight mostly people who have had far to much too drink. You could not have aquiet pint in the place as the music is far too loud. In short you would do better having a tin of beer in the street and it would be a better experience than the Great Central.
