Does anyone remember the Dolphin when Mick Taylor was mine host? Happy Days!!

The big downer is that they only sell Hall & Woodhouse beer. No, choice, no guest. So only go if you can stand (or avoid) this beer stuff.
The "new" landlords are trying very hard and the food is reasonable (but expensive for what it is).

Went here with the memsahib for lunch. Excellent food, and as already been mentioned, gargantuan portions, well cooked and equally well presented. Had a couple of pints of Skunk Brewery bitter, and was surprised how good it was! Either they've changed the recipe, or another brewery is brewing it for them! I shall return.

Hadn't been here for some time, but the new landlord seems to have hit things right. Good food (and large portions). The only "down" is really Hall & Woodhouse.

We recently visited The Dolphin Inn and I have to say we were well impressed. What a change since the last management! A complete breath of fresh air. We walked in to find out that in January '08 it had been taken over by the friendliest landlady we have met in a long time, Sharon Voaden. What a difference a person makes! The Dolphin had a warm and friendly atmosphere and the feel of the place was so lovely from the minute you walked through the door. The team were hospitable and friendly and you felt like you had been going there for years. It made such a nice change to go to a pub and feel like you were part of the family. I can't wait to see what Sharon and her team do to the place. Oh, and the food..........Oh My God! Wow. Not only a top landlady but a fantastic chef. This place was a delight to visit and will be doing so again and again and again. Welcome to Gillingham Sharon - it's about time!
