Yep, this place was a bit vapid with a strange bald manager who used to shout at homeless people who came in, but when I first me my girlfriend I worked round the corner and we used to come here a lot - so its slightly sad for me too. On an interesting note, if you watch "SHAUN OF THE DEAD" near the beginning, Shaun's tele-shop is directly opposite and you can see this pub in the background.........

horrid place with poor everything...but i met my wife here once when we just started going out so sad to hear its closed now

Apparently it's just been bought by someone called Gourmet Buffet Ltd. who run Chinese buffet restaurants (e.g. the one in Horseferry Road, SW1).
Sort of apt as 'Autumn House' sounds more like a Chinese restaurant than a pub to me...
