please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Previous owners made this pub amazing, sadly they left & the people in there now are destroying it. You would've thought the new owners would have learnt their 'how not to run a pub' lesson when they took over, ran into the ground then left the Coach & Horses in Rotherwick. (c2009) There was always shameless self promotion reviews when bad reviews about the food were left always commenting on the locally sourced food...surprise surprise the same feature at this pub! The food doesn't impress at all here like it didn't at their previous pub & now with the added bonus of trip advisor reviews people can finally leave ratings that will be seen. There are already self promotion posts on trip advisor, it's not hard to tie in the namesakes from the Coach & Horses reviews days...fortunately we're not all stupid.

Just moved to the area and having spent many a lunch or dinner here we have come to adopt it as our local. New landlords and team have put their touch on this warm and friendly village pub, they serve several decent quality beers including the Greene King IPA Gold and Speckled Hen which appear to be their regular tipples. Good wine list and homemade menu keep jus coming back

I'd say don't worry too much about earlier negative reviews, there are new (May 2013) people here now who are making a real effort and in my view they deserve to succeed. The owner and staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is pricey but the quality is high. The beer is well kept, with a choice of four ales (although if you want the full choice you may wish to avoid Thursday lunchtimes, when the lines are cleaned). Turning round what was a tired pub is bound to take time, but the direction of travel is definitely up!

Nice pub in a lovely tranquil area. Food is fairly basic but ok, priced at the top end for pub food. Drinks are however astronomic:- £3.30 for a small lemonade and lime. £13 for 1 x IPA, 1 x Cider and 1 x Larger Shandy.

Dropped by recently for pint of IPA. Used to live in Rowledge and when this place was run by Von it was quirky but had identity.

Now the outside is looking shabby and the inside seems to have been redesigned by a 2 year-old.

Given the location (expensive village!) you would expect something better.

Have been told about this lovely village pub on several occassions, and finally made it there this week. Got a warm welcome from the bar staff, and the landlady came to speak to us between starter and main course. The fish pie was fantastic, as was the home made soup.

The customers were really friendly too, its not often people bother to chat to strangers at the bar these days.

Ended up sitting on the sofa in front of a real open fire to finish our drinks, and stayed for well over an hour longer than planned because it was so chilled out.
Also a dog friendly pub (in the bar area only).

I'm sure we'll find an excuse to go back soon....now I know its not too long a walk from Farnham, I might just use getting fit as that excuse!!!!!!!!!!

This pub is super! Great for going around the woods then a lovely pub lunch with a nice cool beer after. Nice to see happy staff rather than the grumpy staff that get down the road!!!

This is a Pub! Go there for a drink and you will enjoy every drop. Go there for a meal and you wont leave hungry. Go there alone or with friends it wont matter. Have heard that the Landlady has been there for over 25 years.....hats off to her
