Another Fuller's pub on the High St towards Hemel, we came in just after 12 noon on a Saturday as the landlord was opening up.
3 Fuller's ales on hand pump, London Pride, Seafarers Ale and Traitors Gate, myself and my drinking companion both went for the Seafarers and it was perfect.
This is a quality little local pub that is basically decorated but is equally nice and friendly.
Good to see a proper pub doing well still.

May 2012 : Dropped in for a pint as I had heard there had been a change of owners. What a difference the new landlord has made.
The London Pride and ESB was excellent - my friend had the best pint of Guiness he had tasted in a long timr. We don't drink Carling or Carlsberg, but they seemed to be popular and looked very appealing. me. Decor not changed much - but was very clean - understand that the owners are going to re-furb shortly.
BEST THING EVER IS THAT THEY HAVE PUT SKY SPORTS back into the pub and got rid of the rubbish foreign satellite that the other pubs in the area seem to have gone for. The sports are really popular here, so get in early if you want to watch your favourite . The have also upgraded to show the AT THE RACES premium channel so this is a must if you like a flutter.
Kelly is still with them and they have three new staff as well and the customers were friendly so I think this will become my local. Other pubs in Apsley seem to be uncared for.. Landlord is local and his wife has lived in Hemel for nearly 30 years and their three children all went to Hemel schools.
All in all - a great atmosphere with faces in here I haven't seen in years. WILL DEFINITELY BE A NEW REGULAR.

Popped in for first time in a few years. London Pride was excellent as usual, but price had risen significantly - not sure how it compares with the near by Paper Mill. Decor same as ever, but no Sky any more so the sports crowd have to go somewhere else which maybe explained why it was so quiet. Barmaid and other customers were friendly so will pay another visit soon.

Again a decent pint of ale in here.Seemed an ok pub too me,nowt fancy, just how a regular pub should be.

I thought this web site was for reviews on pubs,it's apparent that one illiterate individual has turned it into their personal vendetta against Mandy and now my wife and I. It is time this person comes out of the closet and let us know who you are, although I doubt you have the balls(if you have any at all). The White Lion is a good friendly pub that certainly does not need you as a customer, so please take your filthy mouth elsewhere.

Who ever posted this comment about Mandy and the Pub, must be the bad person. Mandy is one of the most frindley people I have ever met in my life, and what a great job she does behind the bar. We hope YOU steer clear of the Pub. It does not need the likes of you! The Whit Lion is a wonderful place to enjoy yourself and the Land Lady is such good fun. The ESB and the London Pride is the best you can get!!! What an excellent Pub!!!

Good place to enjoy sports, beer excellent although prices have risen of late. Provide traditional bar snacks at weekends. Used to go down there once/twice a week and on Sunday's until I started a fitness drive!

Fullers house with well kept London Pride and ESB together with a guest beer which on my visit had just run out. This is a small traditional looking pub with a corner entrance and a central serving area with a drinking area wrapping right round. There is a real fire in the front area and bar billiards to the side.Televised sport with horse racing popular with the regulars. From the exterior the pub looks a bit rough but inside it is clean and recently recarpeted.Quiz night on Sunday ,overall a good local boozer.
